First Ever Trunk or Treat

Thanks to Susanna Wesley UMC, with the help of University and Crestview UMC, we had our first Trunk or Treat event for the neighborhood on Friday, October 22nd, from 6:30-7:30pm. We had over 140 kids (plus parents) come out to enjoy the event! We look forward to having this event again next year and are so grateful for everyone from the three churches who made this memorable event happen for the neighborhood kids!

Binational Health Fair 2010

Over 165 people attended our third annual bilingual health fair on Saturday, October 16th, from 12-4pm held in the gymnasium of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Over 30 local agencies were present to offer information about health related issues and services. We also had free food, kids’ activities, aerobic classes, and the following free screenings: dental, vision, foot care, blood pressure, body mass index, and blood sugar.
