About Me

   HI!  My name is Amanda Ferguson and this is my sixth year teaching 5th grade at DIS. I love sports and have coached basketball and soccer. My favorites are soccer, golf, and basketball, but I am definitely a big Cardinal's fan!  In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer, sand volleyball, co-ed kickball, scrapbooking, organizing, and reading.  

 FAMILY

   My husband, Brian, and I live in St. Louis and have been married since June of 2007.  We have 1 little boy named Keegan who was born in January 2010! He is 1!  I have a brother and sister and their families also live in Collinsville.  I probably have a few of the greatest nieces and nephews (but I could be biased), who are in 2nd, 4th, 7th, and 8th grade!   

      EDUCATION
   For my undergraduate degree I attended McKendree  University.  Next, I received my reading specialist degree through McKendree and I am currently finishing my master's degree from SIUE.

Each story in the textbook is a reading counts quiz.  Throughout the year I will post each story we have read so your child can keep up-to-date on reading counts quizzes.
