This years beneficiary is 8 year old Katie Grant of Williamstown, VT. She was diagnosed in July of 2008 with CML Leukemia. In 11 years I don't think Freezing Fun has come across a situation as unique as Katie's. Katie's mother is a match for a bone marrow transplant ( which is great news ), here's the catch. Katie has 2 sisters, 2 brothers and a sister due any day. They currently live in a 1973 2 bedroom mobile home. Due to Katie's current living arrangements the hospital is unable to perform the much needed transplant until Katie can have a room of her own. This is due to her immune system being greatly depleted following the surgery.Through a generous contribution from Fecteau Homes, the proceeds from our event will be able toprovide Katie and her family with a new home following her surgery. We, Freezing Fun, just have to raise $30,000.00 ( last years event raised $25,000.00).Every little bit helps.
