About us

The F.I.G. is the Florida Italian Gourmet Club. The F.I.G. is devoted to the study, preparation, cooking, presentation and enjoyment of AUTHENTIC Italian regional cuisine. We try to prepare dishes and serve wine exclusively from the twenty (20) regions of Italy. 

While we respect the Italian-American cuisine we are loyal to the cuisine found in Italy, not the adaptations produced here in America. 

We are serious cooks, who meet in each others' homes. We are located in the Naples- Bonita Springs, Florida area. 

Each month we select one of the twenty regions of Italy for our gourmet Italian meal.  The hosting couple decides the menu and makes assignments of what each couple will be cooking.

Recipes may be provided or each couple can use their own resources to make the dish--the only requirement is that the dish be from the specific region assigned.  Each couple is also required to bring two bottles of wine from that region to the dinner.
