FOCUS - Friends Over College Under Senility - focusgroup

Well, last weekend was a busy one for FOCUS! Saturday afternoon, Conn, Bethany, Tim, Heather, Kathy, Tom, me and my sister Jessica met at church to make sandwiches for our visit to the Faith Communty of Peace church. We all worked together incredibly fast and had our sandwiches made in no time!

 

Within an hour, six of us were on our way to the Orioles game! It was a gorgeous night to hang out at Camden Yards! Plus, the Orioles won!!! =)

 

On Sunday, a few of our group, including Pastor Taylor, took our lunch sandwiches and goodies to the Faith Community of Peace church where they worshipped and ate together!

 

A busy but fantastic weekend, indeed!

So far, RSVPs are for me, Stacy and Tom, Heather and Tim, David, Jason, and Derek (8 people).

 

Let's reach out tomorrow at church and invite others.  It's a no pressure, social event; Pastor Taylor is buying pizza for us. I will bring salad.  If someone else wants to bring dessert, then maybe someone else can do soda and we will be set.

 

We definitely need to personally invite the people who are on the google list.  We can do it!

Well, it was our turn to host our FOCUS Evening Out! So, with shrimp, quiche and coffee cake all ready, we were set!

We had some dinner, discussed a couple verses from this upcoming Sunday's service and just hung out! As you can see from our picture at the top, Brad (quite the musician) picked up Tom's guitar while the rest of us listened! It was just a really nice way to hang out with our friends from Mt. Vernon Place on a more relaxed level.

Hope more of you can make the next Evening Out, which will be Wednesday, May 6th at 7:00 pm.
