Folk Art Road Trip 2010

Dan and I celebrated our 5th anniversary by seeing folk art sites in Wisconsin and Iowa.  Over the course of two days, we visisted Nick Engleberg's Grandview, the Dickeyville Grotto, the Grotto of the Redemption, the Hobo Museum (which, unfortunately, was closed), Chainsaw Dan Slaughter's yard, the Trollway in Mount Horeb, Ella's Animatronic Deli and Mary Nohl's home.  On this site, we've posted photos from Grandview, Dickeyville, Grotto of the Redemption, Dan Slaughter and Mary Nohl

We'll also post some photos of the Forevertron and Dr. Evermor's sculpture park in honor of our anniversary - we were married in front of the Forevertron on August 20, 2005.

Folk Art Road Trip 2011

My grandparents have been spending the winters in southern California for as long as I can remember, and Dan and I had the opportunity to visit them in February.  There are plenty of nice things to do in Palm Desert (such as visiting the Living Desert, riding the Palm Springs Tramway, or of course, lounging by the pool), but I knew that Dan had long wanted to visit Los Angeles to check out Watts Towers and the Museum of Jurassic Technology.
