The Formula F1000 is a new class of formula race car here in the USA and overseas. This site features the Formula F1000 race car owner/drivers located exclusively in the USA. We also have a few Formula F1000 owner/drivers that reside in Canada and race within the USA. The site features a comprehensive photo gallery of cars that have been manufactured by major race car constructors, cars that have been home built and race cars that have undergone conversions from another formula race car class to Formula F1000. The most popular conversions in the F1000 class come from the Formula Continental class of formula race cars. There are presently a handful of manufactured constructor cars on the market. There are also several homebuilt cars in the process of entering the exciting F1000 class. The F1000 Formula race car is powered by a 1000cc superbike motorcycle engine. Presently Suzuki and Yamaha are the engine favorites. The owner/drivers presented here are all amateur racers and are members of the SCCA or other racing groups. The cars have top speeds in excess of 150 MPH, and are tube framed race cars, have specified requirements that each car must conform to rules under the SCCA GCR in final construction or modification. Formula F1000 is an affordable high speed, high performance racing machine. Formula F1000 is one of the fastest growing formula race car classes for amateur racing in the USA. The owner/drivers here represent many different ages and geographical locations throughout the USA and Canada.

Each year a F1000 Championship race is held currently at Road Atlanta in the fall, crowning the Formula F1000 Champion for the year. That race is entitled the ARRC (American Road Racing Championship). Glenn Cooper 2009 June Sprints Champion

June 20th, 2009.........

.....Formula F1000 owner/driver Glenn Cooper drove his way to a 1st Place victory in the 2009 SCCA June Sprints race at Road America Racetrack, located in Elkhart Lake, WI. Cooper has been a relentless driver in the new FB Class Formula F1000. Recording several 1st Place podium finishes prior to the June Sprints, it was a converted Formula Continental race car that rained supreme over many purpose built F1000 race cars. It was a very close race with Mark Jaremko from Spokane, Washington driving the new Phoenix F1K.09 finishing secord and John Stecher from Rochester, Minn taking the third place position in his Stohr F1000. The June Sprints is the highlighted main event prior to the SCCA Run-offs National race held in the fall. The next big race for Cooper, Jaremko, and Stecher in Formula F1000 will be the upcoming ARRC race held at Road Atlanta later in 2009. The June Sprints race was very exciting with the Formula F1000 cars dominating the SCCA FE Formula cars for top honors overall. I congratulate the racers and podium finishers for a fantastic race at Road America. Now comes the ARRC.......this race should be even more exciting.

2-23-2009....Phoenix Race Works, & Dustin Wright's new Phoenix F1K.09 arrived at Willow Springs Raceway over the weekend.
