We got started and now have the first 2 lights up in the East Room.
(Only 8 more to go ...!)
It looks like we will have concrete poured on Saturday for our new playfield.
As of right now, everything is looking good to have most of the work done bye the end of the month.
So wish us luck (and volunteer parents & students) ... and let's be about it ..!
Mr. Stump, Mr. Smith and I have completed the major structural challenge to creating one large meeting room at the east end of our H.Q.
The main challenge was removing the main load bearing wall and replacing it with a suitable beam so that we could have one large room for tables.
We also completed most of the tear down of the original kitchen and have placed the cabinets for our "Kitchenette" area.
Several team members got a head start on making an opening for the new throughway from the west meeting/kitchen area to the new storage area.
This week we will focus on electrical improvements, finishing the Kitchenette area, prepping for the concrete field and gaining access to the garage with an inside door from the new storage area.
Until next time,
Let's be about it ...!
Mr. Smith, Mr. Stump and Mr. Mason worked hard this weekend to bring this year's Friarbots - Team 3309 Headquarters to reality.
A lot of hard work is going into remodeling the house so that it will be ready to provide a large meeting place, machine shop, storage, assembly area and full sized practice field!
Theses are just some of the pictures of our current progress, More to come.
