Lisa, since you said you had trouble loading your pictures I reorganized your album. I eliminated the duplicates and put them in number order. I also straightened the sideways photos. Now we can almost have been there. I hope you don't mind.

I just added the photos from the birthday celebration on Saturday. We celebrated Samson's (September 11), Camryn's (September 16), Aiden's (September 28), Adolfo's (September 28) and Cooper's (October 12) birthdays all together.

I've just posted a ridiculous amount of photos of Camryn playing soccer by herself in our front yard. I was playing with my new camera and she wanted me to take pictures of her. Whenever I said that I had enough pictures she would say, "No. Take a picture of me doing this Grandma." What kind of grandma would I be to miss an opportunity like that? I've spared you most of them. (I took over 140) She is so beautiful and I thought it was so cool how girly she looked in her pretty dress and how athletic she is. It just makes me think how wonderful it is to be a girl. Lucky her and lucky me!

I do want to make one more change on the descendant chart because Ceci asked me to put their marriage date on it. I will send it to you when I change it. *Victor Madrigal Jr.'s wife is named Llesenia but what is her maiden name and birthdate?
*What are Tommy and Tirzah's birthdates and birthplaces?
*Daniel Jr.'s name has "daughter + Julia" written beside it. Is Julia his wife or partner and they have a daughter or is Julia his daughter's name? If it's not the daughter's name, what is her name? What is his wife/partner's maiden name? I'm not trying to pry, but want to get it right on the charts.
*I have Irma's kids' names but not their last name. Is Garza their last name? I don't have their birthdates either.

I was finally going through the big genealogy charts that folks made changes on to update my file. I was wondering if the person who wrote Pearl's children's names might know what their last names are and about how old they are. (Antony, Leandro, D'Andro, Georgie, Julis, Shanna) Also, I was a little confused because of the way it was written but do Xzavier and Eliachendo Alvarez belong to Vincent Samuel Alvarez? I had a great time. I was pretty sick though. I have no idea how I actually made the drive back to Seattle from Portland. I had to stop in Vancouver and take a 20 minute nap. It didn't help much. I wish I would've been feeling better. I could've gotten some much better pictures.

I just got a digital SLR. It's probably of the same caliber as yours but it does do interchangeable lenses and I want to get a good one. It's a Pentax K2000 and it can use any of the old Pentax lenses so I should have no trouble finding some good ones. I even have some really good lenses for my old film SLR that I can probably fit on this camera with an adapter ring. It's a Minolta Maxuum but I know that you can fit almost any lens with the right adapter.

After all the planning several months ago we finally came together to make new memories! Thank you to everyone escpially the families who had to travel so far to come....ALex,Kique, Larry and Adam you did a great job with lunch!,Mundy Loved the activities you made up,my favorite were the ribbons, I think my dad is pretty dynomite!!, I loved it when tio paul choked up, I think everyone in that room got teary eye!! nancy,the banker and beckie the decor was awesome!! I just added the other documents I found regarding the border crossing from Mexico to Texas when Abuelito Pablo was six. He was travelling with his grandfather, Teodoro, his mother, Antonia, his sisters, Cristina and Macaria, his uncle, Jacinto, (who I didn't know existed until I found these documents) and four boys, Genobevo, Domingo, Agapito and Teodoro, who I am assuming are sons of Jacinto. I have printed a descendant report of his Grandfather, Teodoro Garza so you can make sense of how these folks were related. Let me know if you have any questions to make it clearer for you.

So, rather than cut them way down, I'd like to make it a long slide show but rather than have everyone sit still and watch it together, I thought it would be good to just have it playing over and over when we're together somewhere maybe off to the side. That way folks could enjoy the pictures without being bored out of their minds. I also plan to make extra copies for those who want them. I won't be able to make enough for everyone probably but there are those of you out there who know how to copy DVDs I'm sure and can share that way. What do you think?

(Obviously these are incorrect dates to protect privacy) I would also like the names of the parents of the spouses. It really brings the tree together. After you've done that it will have a place where you can "share" pictures and one of the choices will be "to share site". Grandma Vanderkin gave this set of coins to Cooper for being born. I've had them for several months now and have just found the time to look into what they are. It turns out that Maundy Money was given out at a religious ceremony on Maundy Thursday(the Thursday before Good Friday). There are 4 coins inside the leather case sitting in blue velvet. They are 1,2,3, & 4 pence coins from Great Britain. Queen Victoria was the reigning monarch in 1900 so the coins have her on one side and a crown and number on the reverse. I think they are pretty cool, so I thought I would share them. I looked up my info on www.maundymoney.info. They didn't have a picture of this case on their site so I sent it to them. Let me know if you have any questions.

To upload pictures...are you signed up as a member yet? I'll look and see. I'm so glad someone took pictures. She said she has some photos of Grandma at the beach. I countered her every excuse for not posting them so we'll see if she does it tomorrow. Thanks again.

Wellllll.....my computer bit the dust! For real now, no reviving it this time! It goes "whirr, whirr, CLUNK, CLUNK, CLUNK, CLUNK" when I try to start it. <sniff> It's a good thing we bought a laptop for Jacob for Christmas. I've been sneaking into his room when he's asleep and swiping it to get my fix. We ordered a new, super fast, super great computer yesterday. (My husband hates to see me cry and is so good to me.) It looks like it will all work out fine after all. My posting may be intermittent until I get my new machine (with a 22 inch flat panel monitor!). It's so wonderful that computers are so cheap now. My new one will have a 500 gig hard drive (which doesn't really matter because I have two 500 gig external drives and one 160 gig) and 4 g processor. Woo hoo! What will that be like? Lightening fast, that's what! It will be so nice to have that flat panel monitor too! So, if I don't comment right away, it's because I haven't been able to get Jacob's computer. He's a good boy, he'll let me use it, but he loves his computer and he uses it a lot too. It's a good thing for me that he doesn't like to wake up at 4:30 a.m.

It's not that much work, Yvonne. I have my scanner set up so it does most of the work and I have a couple programs that do some quick touch-ups. I've got it kind of down to a science. So, I mean it when I say that I will happily scan anyone's photos. If you live in town, drop them off at school. If you live out of town, mail them to me and I'll scan them quickly and mail them right back. I'd LOVE to do it. I know there are some gems out there and I'd like to see them. (And I'm sure I'm not the only one...)

Some sad family news:
My cousin, Kelly, lost her husband, Ben about two weeks ago to a brain tumor. My heart and prayers go out to Kelly and their children, Derrick and Audrey as well as other members of the family and friends. Please keep them in your prayers as well if you will. I personally have been held up by so many of you through times of loss and stress and pain and ... we are so much stronger together. I'm sure Kelly could use your prayers and good thoughts to get through some of the tough times in the days, weeks, months and even years to come. (Even if you don't know Kelly and Ben, God does---please don't hesitate to remember the family.) Thanks so much for being the amazing, wonderful, supportive family that you are. I don't know how often or even if he checks it at all, but all the pictures he took in Jordan were on my mom's camera, so I will get them from her to post. Our Disneyland trip was great, however, my mom and I both thought Noor was bringing her camera so we didn't bring ours, and she forgot it. The only pictures I have from that trip are from my phone... I'll see if any of those are good quality enough to post. I do have some other pics to post though and will do that as soon as I get a chance <3

So here's my miracle...
I came home last night to empty the dishwasher before guests arrived to find that my dishwasher in my new home had died. Great. Thankfully Amy came and washed my dishes for me. So today I went to start a load of laundry so we'd have fresh towels in the morning. The washer filled with water...then died. Double great. I was freaking out! So we went to dinner. I came back, and miraculously the washer had drained. I started it again and it worked perfectly! I was jumping for joy at my miracle. And I didn't even ask for it! Guess it was only mostly dead.

I don't know that all of you understand that Wraylee, not Angela, took the Palouse photos. Wraylee is another "adopted" daughter of ours. (Through her close friendship with Ange.) Angela did say that in her description of the album but if you looked at it picture by picture, you wouldn't have seen that blurb. Ange does admit that she stole these photos from Wraylee. We'll claim Wraylee's talent too though Beckie, because we love her like family! We'll call Ange talented too in that she knows how to pick great friends to add to the family.

Okay, did you guys know that you can look at a slide show of the new albums (or any of the albums)? It's a very nice presentation and a great way to see the pictures the first time around. I uploaded the photos in "Camryn September 2007" because I am going through photo withdrawal. (An entire day with NO new photos!) I looked through some photos on one of my hard drives and found these. Mandy took them for her mother-in-law and in many of the photos Camryn is wearing heirloom clothes from Sallie's (Mandy's mother-in-law) ancestors. The doll is an heirloom as well. I think these photos are beautiful! They were taken just before her third birthday.

I know, he's growing out of some of his clothes already. He's a good eater! I wish I knew how much he weighs now. Last time he got weighed he was only 7lbs 14oz. I think he's closer to 9 pounds now, if not more than that, and he's only 3 weeks old!

It's taking all Camryn has to wait until it's time to trick-or-treat. I use a Cannon XTI, but the lens does all the work it is a 50mm 1.8 . It is the best.. It is compact and great... if you have an SLR, I would recommend it... I got it on Amazon for about $80.00

I was planning on taking a bunch this morning, but practicality took over and Craig and I have been catching up on some much needed to do's like getting bills paid, making sure that my Short Term Disability stuff is filed properly, and finally writing out our thank you cards. I'll try to take some tonight or for sure tomorrow. Yesterday was filled with doctor's visits for the little guy and then a couple of errands. We were pretty wiped out by the time we got home. I promise I'll be better about getting new pictures up.

Craig, Cooper, and I are finally home and have had another couple hours of rest. It's so good to be home! I was fine until we left the hospital and then I just lost it. I started bawling because I was so tired and sore and just needed to get to a comfortable place where there was no one to wake me up(besides Cooper of course) in the middle of a much needed nap. We're all good now! My blood pressure finally went down around mid morning! Cooper has been sleeping, eating, and pooping a lot. Just like he should! Craig and I consider ourselves so lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful little boy. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers in our time of need. We love you all very much!

Saturday was one very long day! Mandy, George and I drove two hours East over to Colfax in the morning (left here at 8:00 a.m.) and when we arrived Angela told us that Amy was at the hospital (about six hours away) in labor. We (well, mostly Angela, George and Mandy) moved Angela in as promised and spent until about 1:30 there with her. Then we drove back home and Mandy and I threw some stuff in a bag to head West to Bellevue to be with Amy. We arrived there at about 8:00 p.m. I think. When we got there Amy did not look good. She had a fever and her blood pressure was really high. She was on oxygen and she looked scared. We prayed with her and talked with her and not to say that we saved the day but we felt a lot better about how things were going about an hour later. She was more calm and they removed the oxygen and she rallied to do her job. We reassured her that the things happening to her were normal and she was glad to hear that. We were surprised how little the nurses were telling her. The nurse she had when we got there (and that went through delivery with her) was not good. We were so frustrated with her. Anyway, Amy waited (I'm convinced) to deliver her little guy until 12:02 a.m. just so he could be on her due date. She's punctual like that. The nurse kept telling her it would be hours more and I said it would not, it would be by midnight. She told Amy to have us leave because she would be pushing for hours and we'd get tired. Amy (yay Amy) told her, "They're fine there, they'll leave if they get tired". She pushed for less than 20 minutes and we WERE NOT tired. I loved it that we were right and nurse negative was wrong! Amy did a fantastic job! Craig rooted her on and the midwife was great too. God listened to our prayers (as always) and healed little Cooper of the fever he had on delivery and slowed his heart rate to normal within minutes of the slight scare we had. When we heard that he wasn't doing so well, Mandy stuck her head out the door and told Amy's friends from church to start praying. The nurse checked him a minute or so later and said, "oh, he's doing better now, it must be being out that fixed him" We knew better than than though. It was all God! Yay God! ;-)
Mandy and I finally got into bed at about 3:00 a.m. I think it took me 3 1/2 minutes to fall asleep. I'm too old for this. ;-) It was a great day all in all--just way too exciting for me. I like things nice and slow and peaceful. It all worked out that way in the end. What a great day! I'm so lucky to have been a part of it all.

I signed all the paperwork yesterday!! I got the keys yesterday afternoon and spent the evening cleaning. It's been crazy how quickly this actually went. I wish the moving was done and I could actually enjoy the house. I haven't even moved one box yet! Hopefully tomorrow...

Angela closes on the sale of her new house on Monday morning and will get the keys that afternoon! Everything has just fallen into place for her. I'm so proud of her hard work and praise God for rewarding her faith through this process. Owning her own home as a 25 year old single woman is AMAZING! How wonderful for her.

You should check at your local paint store to see if they have any paint that got mixed incorrectly that they are now giving away. That's how I got all that free paint that I gave to Mandy. If you don't have a local paint store I can check at the Rhodda in Issaquah again. I'm pretty sure that's where I got it last time. Just let me know.
