This site was created to be a hub of information for a variety of activites, and to help inspire each other with some great ideas. Recipes, crafts, decorating, theme parties ideas, etc. I am always looking for great photos of my friends entertaining their friends. The Larkin Ranch in Redmond set the scene for this beautiful outdoor wedding that took place July 11th. The Larkin Ranch features a large grassy area for setting up ceremony seating, and tables for the reception, with a beautiful swimming pond in the background. The pond is stocked with trout to the delight of the many children who attended, and lined with tiki torches. They offer an outdoor kitchen to serve food from on a huge wooden deck. The Larkin Ranch is not open to the public yet, but owner Jeff Larkin is busy putting the finishing touches, and taking care of all the neccessary red tape to have this facility up and running in the near future.
Laurel had her hair pulled up and was more gorgeous than I've ever seen her, beaming throughout the wedding and reception. She and Jacob had taken dance lessons earlier this year, and made a very impressionable show out on the dance floor.
Laurels mother, Mary Dennis, was in charge of the food. Oh my, what an incredible spread this woman put on!!! (See the photos in the slideshow). She and her other two daughters spent countless hours preparing all week leading up to the wedding. We feasted on marinated meatballs, shrimp skewers, pasta skewers, shrimp wontons, fresh salman, salad, rolls, fresh fruit, seasoned pork, roast beef, savory mashed potatoes, green beans, and more. She even made tasty little butter cookies which were served in dainty little favor boxes on each table. Mary works at Sully's restaurant, but truly we all wish she would start her own catering business and make her talents available to others. For the record, Mary is quite willing to take on a few catering jobs in her spare time.
By the way, the cute little red-headed flower girl happens to be my granddaughter, Sahara. She is also the grandaughter of Mary Dennis, and the neice of Laurel. So there you have it.
I loved taking pictures of this wedding, as every detail was so extraordinary. We have a few other weddings to feature later this year. Not sure how we're gonna top this one.

Ginger did an outstanding job hosting our July Bunco night. She served Mexican Quiches, and little Pesto Bites along with some fruit, chips, crackers and dip, along with a lot of laughs and some great prizes. Her recipes are posted this month on the Themes/Recipes page. She suggested that we play for a local charity occassionally. So everyone needs to be thinking about that, and we will discuss it next month. Please keep Bessie Nordahl and her family in your prayers this month, as husband Dick was in a terrible auto accident and is intensive care, unable to breathe without assistance. Bessie is so dear to all of us at Bunco, and I know this is difficult for the whole family, Leslie Smith, Kristin Shortreed, and others.
Laurel Wellborn, Kendal Buettner, Emily Davison, and Rachel Cruthirds gathered together recently at Darla Elliotts home for hot fudge sundaes, and to celebrate the end of the school year. It was also an opportunity for us to say goodbye to our friend Jodi McDevitt who has been leading the girls in a Bible Study program over the past 5 months. Jodi is moving to Washington later this month. Two of her adult friends, Amber and Amy, were also in attendance and are both praying about the possibility of taking over the group in Jodi's absence. It was really a lot of fun to getting to know each other better. They are truly beautiful, awesome, amazing young women. And hopefully we'll get a chance to do this again real soon!
