Cessna 195
This is Steve Christy and his plane. About the time Cessna introduced these, along came Beechcraft with the Bonanza, for a lot less money. So not many of these were sold, and most were not well taken care of. It was a real mess when Steve bought it, but now look. This one has the 275 hp engine.

Gassing Up
Chuck Marshall of Elkhart IN, helps refuel his T-6.

Gimme a Ride
This morning, I videotaped the twin-engine Beech, and Chuck's plane and one other T-6, during the engine runup and takeoff.
I'll get that on YouTube as ASAP, and put a notice on this site.
People are gonna love it. JR

Quentin C. Aanenson, WW II P-47 Pilot, Dies
Perhaps you saw "A Fighter Pilot's Story" about this man's experiences in training and in battle over Europe. The fascinating documentary was on PBS in 1994 and 95. He also was part of Ken
Burns' documentary, "The War".
TIPS
TIPS: ONE-CLICK on an album, and you get the thumbnail sized pics. Float the cursor over one, and in a second or two, my description, if any, will appear. CLICK ANY PIC, and it's bigger, and you can manually go thru them. Descriptions are on the right. And here you can hit "slideshow" and, upper right, "full screen".
ABOUT THE WIDE PHOTOS:
My camera is Sony's first High-Definition camcorder, from August of '05. Frankly, it makes better video than stills. It has less than 3 megapixels, and the bigger you make the picture, the worse it looks. Not much detail, tho playing the camera's videotape or stills into a High-Def TV, both look great. The WIDE photos are 16 by 9, from the videotape. They look worse on a computer screen than the "snapped" pics. So I wouldn't look at the wide ones in full screen.
Now I have a new High-Def camcorder from Sony, which is TAPELESS, (also no hard drive or disk) and puts everything on a "memory stick". 10 megapixel stills.
