WV Juniors - The Crown Jewels of Volunteers
2012 - 2014 GFWC WEST VIRGINIA JUNIOR DEPARTMENT
I am so excited to be here with all of you! There is a lot of work before us, but let's have fun doing it! GFWC WV Juniors are very special and together we can accomplish great things!! During this administration I believe we need to focus on volunteerism, orientation, and membership. If our own members don't understand GFWC and all that encompasses, think about the public's perception. Encourage your clubs to educate all members on all parts of Federation. Use the GFWC materials available Make manuals for your club offices, membership packages for all members, etc. to help members understand what positions entail, club history, and where your club is going. Help build your clubs and make them strong to do what we do best - volunteer!
The rewards of being a GFWC WV Junior are so great! Fun, Friendship, and Fellowship all while doing good things for our communities!! Share your enthusiasm with others as you recruit new members and help to grow your clubs. Work with your Juniorette and General clubs on projects and programs to foster communications between all levels of Federation.
Your comments, questions and suggestions are very important I am happy to be of assistance to any of you so please never hesitate to contact me! I look forward to working with each of you as we continue our work as The Crown Jewels of Volunteers around our great State of West Virginia! Sparkle and Shine, WV Juniors!!

Volunteers are Special!
A VOLUNTEER is a person who is a light to others, giving witness in a mixed-up age, doing well and willingly the tasks at hand-namely, being aware of another's needs and doing something about it.
A VOLUNTEER is a person who remembers to do the thing to make other people happy, who takes the loneliness out of the alone by talking to them, who is concerned when others are unconcerned, who has the courage to be a prophet and to say the things that have to be said for the good of all.
A VOLUNTEER is a person whose charity is fidelity, who is faithful in an unfaithful world, grateful in an ungrateful world, giving when all about are grasping, listening when others need to tell about their fears and problems. -- From "The Beacon," newsletter of
