We are excited to announce our new partnership with the Alliance for Community Trees, Inc. ACTrees supports the needs of communities, nonprofits, business, and others engaged in urban forestry. We encourage GFWC Clubs to participate in the organization’s annual National NeighborhoodWoods ™ Month by registering tree-planting events. Members are invited to volunteer at local tree planting and community green infrastructure education events.

It is truly an exciting partnership. There is something for every state to become involved in. It is an opportunity to educate our members and communities as to how “trees” really make a difference.
I am hopeful to have more information available at the GFWC International Board Meeting this November. Staff is in the process of updating the Conservation Community Service Program section of the Club Manual, and will inform you when this is completed.
So spread the word to all your clubs about GFWC’s new partner and that trees are one of our best friends in the field of Conservation.
