State 2010

State 2010 was a blast. We had an AMAZING time and the girls played great. Raven beat out the #2 from Tolleson to advance to the second round.  Tiffany and Audrey faced Willow Canyon, but unfortunately didn't make it out of the second round. Carely and Meghan made it to the second round taking it to tie break against Fairfax with Fairfax advancing, - what an exciting game. Hannah made it to the second round facing Horizon where she held strong and tried to keep up.

We takeway many great memories from this trip! The kids were fabulous, the parent support amazing and impressive. Thank you for a great season and wonderful trip!

Lake Havasu

The girls had some amazing games! Our goal for this meet was to effectively hit corner and base line shots. Tiffany had some impressive corner shots during her 2 hour singles match as well as her sister Brittany Laughlin. Hannah kept good pace, making her oppent cry a little. Audrey made some great serves and Raven battled hard to bring home the one win for the team. Overall, I was very proud of the way each girl played - they truly earned their junk food party!

Meet vs. Cibola

For me and for most of the girls it was a heartbreaking loss against Cibola. We were so close, but just couldn't get the final few points to swing the match in our favor. Regardless of the loss though, some players had an AMAZING game. Hannah Lanning, in my opinion, had one of the best games of the season. She made it to every shot, tried for every point, and made her opponent work. Audrey had some really great serves and kept the ball going. Carley was able to win one set against her rival Sam Chambless, but lost in an exiting tie break 8-10. ohhhhh, so close! Meghan Johnson had an exhausting rally finally closing the win with a 16-14 tie break. The girls are working extremely hard and it is important to remember to keep the competetive edge as we finish up the season. It does not matter if you win or loose - it is how hard you fight! Never give up, becuase it only takes one point to change the outcome.

Magin Invite

The Magin was a tough draw. Audrey played a great game almost upsetting the #1 from Kofa. Carley made it through to the semi finals placing 5th. I think we all learned a little about tennis and about team. I was proud of the spirit and support our team exhibited. I was proud of everyone.

Blue vs. Gold

Athlough it was a tough loss against Cibola, everyone did an amazing job! You guys were agressive, hitting hard, and made some amazing shots. I was very proud of the way you all played. Ashley Walker had a great game, keeping up with the fast pace. Tiffany Laughlin had some of the fastest and most eye popping angle shots I have seen - not mention of few aces.  Raven Braveheart took one of the wins against Cibola with her impressive top spin serve with Audrey and Tiffany taking the other win in doubles.  Way to go ladies we will get 'em next time!

Go DADDY!

Thank you to EVERYONE who came out to support the tennis team at Texas Road House and to our amazing waiter Daddy who gave us the hook up! We raised about $100.00 from this event. Our next event is March 16th at Panda Express. Grab your family and friends and help our team raise money.

Antelope and Kofa

The girls have been playing hard and showing a real competitive side. The team had an impressive showing both against Antelope and Kofa. The team is starting to play aggressively and trying new strategies. Chavez and Johnson had an exciting doubles match against Antelope reacting like partners who have played together for years. Laughlin had a good match against Kofa, especially the Andre Agassi play hitting the ball over hear head backwards. Many spectators have commented on how well the players are moving the ball and hard they are hitting. Keep up the good work ladies!
