Sydney had been experiencing an unusually wet and cool summer, so my picture-perfect day with sunshine and warm temperatures was a real treat.

The Fijian's call these dwellings "bures" (pronounced "boo-ray") and the unit I had came complete with a small pool that was great for cooling off or washing the salt water off my wet suit - a daily ritual after the dives.

A sunk Japanese Fishing Boat
Ships are often sunk deliberately to encourage reef growth and this ship was sunk for that same reason. Unfortunately, it turned upside down when it sunk!

Fire Walking
Beqa Island is thought to be the birthplace of fire walking and we were treated to a display. Amazing to see...

An almost black and white sunset
Even though this sunset lacked the color of other sunsets we saw, I loved the image nonetheless - the calm water and cool cloud formations were great.

Coconut delight
I was told by several people to drink a funny tropical drink with an umbrella in it and this was the closest I could get - this delicious concoction had coconut milk, 2 kinds of rum and Bailey's - yumm and yikes (kicked my butt!)

A nice place to watch a sunset
I forgot my camera the first night we had a spectacular sunset - wouldn't make that mistake again!
