Hi! How are you doing? Hope all is well! Hope you and your family have a very Happy Easter! Sorry I have been MIA its been a rough 2 months. I will fill you in another day so much to explain. I have it all on facebook because I use my phone. I don't have computer access only by sneaking on Marina's computer every so often. When I do go on I only have time to check my bank account and emails....no time for Shutterfly fun! :( Miss coming to the sites and updating my site. Good news is that my son Joe finally moved here March 3rd. My dad and his girlfriend Susan drove in front and Joe followed them so that Rob didn't have to go all the way to NY to get Joe and drive his car. It was nice they offered to do that and they visited for the weekend. Then they left and a few days later my daughter Marina's boyfriend Raul came and is staying with us for a few months. Joe's girlfriend is coming on Monday and more out of town guests next month. We adopted a 6 month old new puppy Murray who keeps us really busy! He got deathly sick and was hospitalized for a week fighting for his life. Its been a very stressful March!!! Long story that I will soon fill you in on. Now thank god Murray survived and is doing great. It was so scary!! All meds are finally done! Woo Hoo!!!

Hi! How are you doing? Did it snow more this week in your area? Its snowing lightly here. Its so funny what a big deal Indiana makes out of a few inches of snow. They don't clean up as fast as NY does and we get bombarded with huge amounts of snow in NY! Have you ever seen my Buffalo Snow page yet? Wish I had taken pictures of all our storms but we were always in such a panic trying to dig ourselves out! I do have a cool page with pics I did happen to take over the years and fun facts about Buffalo, NY snowfall.
Any weekend plans? We will be packing, cooking new recipes, playing board games, watching movies, and hoping the weather is a bit warmer so we can get outside for a walk and some fresh air. I am getting cabin fever! Hope to also get Marina's Venezuela pictures up this weekend as well. :)

Hi! Hope you are enjoying the weekend. We have had mild temps here the past 5 days so we have taken long walks and tried to get as much fresh air as possible. Now I am taking advantage of free access to Marina's laptop. I have to get as much catching up done as possible because she will be back from Venezuela on Wed. I miss her so much. It seems like she's been gone forever. Today they went to Colonia Tovar. Its a german town in Venezuela. I added a journal entry with pics I got off the internet and it looks so cool. Hi! I see your What's New page is gone. I always love the WHAT'S NEW pages so that if someone one adds something you don't have to fish around and if someone comments back I can find it there. Its helpful when people have like over 10 pages because then you are able to immediately see that they updated their site. LOL!!! I will miss yours and hope its not gone forever. If its gone forever......RIP...WHAT'S NEW PAGE on the GM Sirmans Project 365. LOL!!! I know some people got rid of their page a long time ago because I think because they want people to look at all the hard work and effort they put into each page which I can understand but I do still look around.

Hi! Hope you have a great week. Did it snow in your area? Its so bitter cold here and snowed a few inches. The wind chill will be 0 degrees in a few hours! I'm ready for spring already. Marina is soaking up the sun and 80 degree weather in Venezuela. I miss her so much. Then of course my son Joe is in NY and I miss him like crazy too. We couldn't afford to go to NY so it was a really difficult holiday for us. Then it was another Christmas spent in the airport getting Marina off to Venezuela. She paid for her own trip. Well just wanted to stop by and catch up on all the sites since she will be home next week. I am getting in all the Shutterfly fix I can because my laptop is so riddled with viruses that I let go too long now may have done permanent damage. I don't know and I don't have the money to fix it again. It was a cheap laptop and I have paid almost as much in repairs as I paid for it. The problem is I have so much stuff saved on it that I want to keep it. I should try to transfer everything over to my external hard drive thing I bought. I did do tons of pics but not all the digital scrapbook stuff yet. Then once I am able to get everything off I think I will just save for a new laptop. Well talk to you soon! :)

Hi! I just got back Saturday night from NY and I am still EXHAUSTED! My son Joe came to Indiana for the 1st time for 3.5 days then we took him back to NY and spent 3 days with him. It was really nice having time with him in NY since the visit in Indiana was so complicated with my husband working 12 hour shifts and leaving 5:30PM every day, Marina being in school and having to drive her and pick her up everyday, then car problems and repairs, then Joe had to be back in the apartment every day for hockey and football games!

Hi! How are you doing? Looks like you had a blast dressing up with your daughter on Halloween. She's at such a fun age. I love that you made matching costumes. That is so special. :)
My kids were both in NY for Haloween so it was my 1st Haloween without them. Marina used some bday money to travel back to NY to spend her fall break with her brother, her cousins, and friends. I was so sad to be without my kids. Thank god I had tons to do here in Indiana and got invited to parties and events. I had so much fun. :)

We went to Chicago's Navy Pier to celebrate Marina's actual 17th birthday,went on a boat ride in Chicago, ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp, had icecream cake, went to a service for a young fallen area soldier, went to the Chesterton European Market, went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the Buffalo Bills football game, watched movies, and went Christmas shopping at JCPenney's and got some amazing deals! It was a fun, emotional, exciting, and action packed weekend!

Thanks so much for teaching me how to put the link hidden under a word. That is such a nifty trick. I can't believe it took me this long to figure it out. Actually you are the only person who has ever did it on their Shutterfly Sharesite so I don't think alot of people know how to do that trick. How are you doing? Congratulations on completing 265 days of your project already!!! I am so impressed!!! I hope someday to do a 365 project. Right now I am on the go morning, noon, and night. Its a lot more time consuming than I thought it would be to relocate, everything takes so long. My daughter made an appointment with a dermatolist that was only 1 mile away and it took us about 45-60 minutes to find it. The GPS took us the opposite direction so my daughter called the receptionist for directions and she said something about a turn and to go in the opposite direction well 15 minutes later that was turning out, called again finally after 4 attempts and turning around we find a medical building that we think is the right one go inside to find out we are in the wrong building and it was over the railroad tracks where the road split. Sadly, this happens on a daily basis. Its extremely stressful and time consuming!!! At this point with me being here for 3 months I thought I would have all the time in the world to work on Shutterfly but I have less time than I ever did. We have been doing alot of exciting and fun things though. I will tell you all about the EEU program my daughter and I have been training and working with. Hope you have a great day! :)

Sorry I haven't been on the sites much in August we were so busy with getting my almost 17 year old daughter Marina adjusted to moving 500 miles away from her only sibling, her friends, her school, her house, her dog, her neighborhood, her family, etc. Over the summer Marina met a boy Raul at The Buffalo Bisons Game(a minor league baseball game) and they were inseparable the entire summer. Raul's dad is a baseball player and plays for the Buffalo Bisons and they are from Venezuela. Raul was only in NY for the summer so Marina went to the airport on Aug 1 to see him go. If you remember teenage romance its pretty powerful and can you imagine seeing your boyfriend get on a plane to go to another country then the next day your parents are there to pick you up to move you away from your entire WORLD?!!! How much can 1 kid take?!!! Its been really difficult and now Marina is in a school with over 2000 strangers. She started a few weeks ago. The only thing that really got Marina through all this was knowing we were going to NY for Labor Day weekend and having her early bday party. We left on Saturday afternoon and came back on Wed. night. We had so much fun on our visit to NY and we were able to see tons of our family and friends. I have to upload those pictures as well.
Hope you had a fun Labor Day weekend. Did your daughter start school? I am not sure how old she but I think about 4 or 5.
This weekend I went to the Hot Air Balloon Festival but the weather didn't cooperate so they didn't set them up, they didn't launch them, and they didn't make them glow! I was bummed out but I did meet alot of nice people so that was a HUGE bonus. Then I went to the Popcorn Festival and seen the parade and walked around downtown to see all the crafts and foods. Then I came home and Marina used the car to go hang out with a friend she met at school. They went go kart racing and had fun. I was so HAPPY!!!
Today we are heading to the beach! I am hoping to get some nice sunset pictures tonight. :)
I loved your fair page and all your new additions!!! You are doing an amazing job on your 365 day project! I give you so much credit! i can't believe you are on day 246! WOW!!!!

Yep, I have the summer blahs! I was afraid it would happen to me because for me summer is just bright, bright, hot, hot and there's nothing inspirational about that for me. I have had a couple nights when I've realized late that I hadn't done my photo of the day, those are the hardest!! I was sick at home Wednesday and that's why I took the picture of the bunny that was in my camera bag (I did just find it but still I thought it was kinda boring). What I have learned about me is that I have to get out of the beaten path. The cloud photo I took the other day, I drove about 15 mins past the house to get a good shot for that, I'm glad I did, not just for the photo but the area I stopped at was so peaceful. In the end though it's 365 days not all of them can be inspired and wonderful, over all I think we're doing pretty good :)

Just wanted to stop by to say hi! Life has been so CRAZY with all the moves. Then we couldn't figure out the internet here and they said we had to buy a modem we tried that and didn't work then they told us at Best Buy to get a router I think it was called and that didn't work. Now after 3 attempts with buying trying to figure it out and taking stuff back we finally have it figured out and wouldn't you know my laptop is ACTING UP SUPER BAD! It takes like 15 minutes to turn on and get online then I will be online for like 3-8 minutes and it will COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN AND SHUT OFF on me!!!! Its so frustrating!!!! Now I have been online for like 45 minutes so fingers crossed I can upload some prom pics. My daughter got invited at the last minute in the mix of the 3 moves so it was REALLY FRANTIC trying to prepare my Sophmore for the senior prom that I we didn't plan on her going to! LOL! Everything worked out and she looked so BEAUTIFUL! I am hoping to post them SOON! Have a great week! :)

Woohoo! I see you have some signs of spring!! I live in Texas so we tend to get the early spring stuff, right along with the storms that follow. We get the early spring but by the end of May we are lookin at triple digits for temps and by July it's unbareable outside, I literally can not stand summer here. I dread it more every year.

Gina I changed my mind on one of my photo of the day photos, I hadn't looked at all the photos from yesterday when I posted the swinging photo, I was a little unhappy with it because it was so dark, it was almost raining out. Later that afternoon I got a quick couple pictures of Punkin being silly, as soon as I saw the photo I thought that has to be the photo of the day. So I changed it this morning, it was from Sunday, hope that's not cheating too much :)

My church honors all mothers with a flower, then honors the oldest, youngest, and mother with the most children with a special flower. I got the youngest mother for the third year in a row. I've got to be getting too old to keep winning this! It sure is pretty, though.

This was taken with a manual focus 28 MM 2.8 lens. The munchkin wasn't into being a model, so this was what I got as she rushed the camera. I'm rather proud I was able to get it focused with her moving toward me.

My husband surprised me and the munchkin with Valentine gifts when we got home today. She got some candy and a little stuffed monkey that she immediately fell in love with. I got this beautiful rose. I was completely surprised because we decided years ago not to "do" V-day because it gets too expensive, and really, who needs to waste $50 or more on flowers which die in a few days? I'd rather save the cash for things like food! But the rose was beautiful, and suits me perfectly. A single rose is as pretty as a dozen, and it soothes my practical mind to know a lot of money wasn't blown on it. He also had steaks ready to throw on the grill as soon as I got home, so I only had to take care of sides and we had a DELICIOUS V-day dinner. I wanted to shoot my dinner and rose, and the munchkin decided she needed to take pictures of the rose as well. She hopped right in my frame, but it was so cute, I couldn't reshoot. Like mother, like daughter! Now if only I can teach her to shoot through the viewfinder...maybe when she's older.

The munchkin and I were in the car about to leave for Rara's house to take her out for her birthday, waiting on my husband to come out of the house. Around the corner of my house wanders this crazy looking bovine. He belongs at the neighboring farm and is out CONSTANTLY. People stop at our house ALL the time to tell us "our" cows are out. My husband has chased this creature home several times. The last time, it started to charge him, so when someone stops now, we just tell them there's nothing we can do, they are not our cows. Well, of course, with it in our yard, we (and by that I mean HE) had to run it some to get it away from the house. Right after I took this photo it noticed me and started ducking its head as if to charge. I got back into the car really quick. I've been around cattle my whole life, but ours are not aggressive. An animal of this size (and this is a small bull) coming at you is quite intimidating.

It was getting close to dark, and I, of course, had no nice white snow on the ground outside, so it really took some post processing to pull the lights in the background enough. Would be better to try mid-day on a sunny day, but hey, when you work every day, photographic opportunities can be someway elusive. You take what you can get!

Today is my grandfather's 87th birthday. He and my munchkin are big buddies. He brings her a miniature piece of chocolate each day. She calls it her "papa candy." So today, for his birthday, she brought him a piece of his own.

The munchkin and her Daddy are studying their new science project. We found a "root viewer" planter in which you plant a carrot, onion, and radish and you get to watch it grown, through a clear window in the planter. You can actually see the root veggies developing. Can't wait to try this thing out. I think I'm as excited about it as she is.

Ruby Tuesday had a dish years ago called "sirloin tip stacker" which I fell in love with. Then, as Ruby Tuesday is wont to do, discontinued it. So I had to figure out how to make it myself. A combo of Pioneer Woman's
Steak Bites Recipe, mashed potatoes and brown gravy and I had my own sirloin tip stacker. It is yummy and addictive.

24. 2012-01-24 Munchkin games
The munchkin piled up a series of "steps" from the couch across the living room floor and spent the better part of an hour hopping off the couch onto them, and back up, and down, and back up again.... It's amazing what kids can find to entertain themselves!
23. 2012-01-23 Faux Chenille Blanket
I know, this is the fourth photo of the day I've taken of this project, but it's kind of consumed me since I started it. This is the finished product, all fluffed up. This was the best shot I could get as the Munchkin wouldn't let it out of her hands so I could hang it up and get a proper photo. Regardless, you can see the pretty butterfly background as well as the chenille underside. It's so soft and warm! I'm very pleased with how it turned out. The Munchkin is as well.

22. 2012-01-22 Project take 3
Yay! I've completed the
faux chenille blanket. All that is left to do is wash and dry it to fluff it up. I have to admit, I am a bit nervous at how it will look once it's washed. I've read
several blogs where people have made these and they all say they fluff after the first wash. We'll see! The munchkin had to try it out before I washed it, though. Getting it out of her hands and into the washer was an adventure. She likes her butterfly blanket.
21. 2012-01-21 Project take 2
I spent a good deal of this weekend working on this quilt, same as
last weekend. It's a labor-intensive project to be sure, but the end result should be worth all the work!
20. 2012-01-20 Date Night
My husband's mother kept the Munchkin overnight, so we got to have a date night. I meant to get a photo of the actual food, but after waiting for this thing to go off, I was so hungry I forgot! At least the food was delicious. And the company was superb! :)

15. 2012-01-15 Newest Project
This is my newest sewing project, a
faux chenille blanket. It has a LOT of sewing involved - a diagonal line across two yards of fabric every half inch. Hopefully the finished product will be worth the effort.
14. 2012-01-14 Homemade Donuts
Breakfast this morning - homemade donuts. Made out of canned biscuits. This was the first time we've attempted it and I think next time we'll do from-scratch dough and a lot less sugar than
the recipe called for, but they were still good!
13. 2012-01-13 Where the heck's my snow?!
Yeah, this is the "two inches" we were supposed to get. Our roads were covered making for slow going on the way into work, but there wasn't enough on the ground to justify staying home. I was NOT happy to miss out on another snow day!

Our weather guys predicted 2 inches of accumulation in my area this evening. The clouds moving in were beautiful, and I had to shoot them while waiting to get on the interstate, even if there was an ugly traffic light in my way.

10. 2012-01-10 Dreamcatcher
As a girl, I made a dreamcatcher for my aunt. I'd forgotten I even did it. We visited her this weekend, and she had this dreamcatcher she'd gotten in the mail and gave it to my girl. She told her that her Mommy had made one for her when she was a child, and then showed it to her. She'd kept it all these years.

The moon was super-creepy peeking out of the clouds this night. Unfortunately, the clouds were fast moving, and they hid it as I was setting up. So this is what I ended up with.

There's not much sweeter than a child giggling as a dog licks him. Dixie, who isn't around children often, is such a sweet little dog. She tolerates and loves the children so well.

The munchkin generally makes her way into my bed sometime during the night. When I get up to get ready in the morning and turn on the bathroom light, it shines right onto the bed. This is her solution in order to sleep through it. I can also dry my hair sitting right next to her without waking her up. The kid sleeps HARD.

4. 2012-01-04 Munchkin Bible
The munchkin and I read a story out of her little bible every day. It's even taught me a thing or two that I'd forgotten over the years.
3. 2012-01-03 Should've been a snow day
Any other month, or even another day later in the month, I might've let this scene convince me to stay home. As it is, it just convinced me to go in 30 minutes late and leave more or less on time. (Ah, the joys of tax season). I SO wanted to stay home and play!
2. 2012-01-02 Snow
While most of America was off for the observed New Year's holiday, I was at work. I volunteered to work today because, as this is the kickoff to tax season, it's HARD to miss a day and try to make it up. It started to snow in the afternoon and snowed off and on the rest of the day. It mostly just blew around at first, but by the time I got home, the roads were covered. (A big deal in the south). This was taken midday or so as the flurries were laying a bit on the grass outside my office.
1. 2012-01-01 Pillow bed
Of all the toys my munchkin got, she's played more with this one, which I made for her a couple days after Christmas. It's a pillow bed, inspired, of course, from
Pinterest. She picked out the fabric and I made what is basically four joined pillow cases. It folds out to make a great lounging "bed" which we'll use for nap time, and folds up when not in use to get out of the floor. It's been dragged all over my house, but she seems to like to leave it in our hall best, piled up with "babies" taking a nap, or in this case, her kitty.
