The munchkin wanted to be a bride for Halloween ("a getting married person") and decided after I'd bought the fabric that she wanted it to be BLUE, so I added a spot of blue fabric to appease the Bridezilla in training!

The groom had broken his foot or toe or something like that the day before, so there wasn't a lot of dancing, but there was a lot of sweetness as shown! You could just feel the love between these two.

The flying gnome
couldn't resist. I took this weeks ago during her fall photo shoot, but couldn't post until after Halloween as I have to keep up costume secrecy. I can't explain why, I just know I must.
Mommy and daughter gnomes
I had to make matching gnome costumes for myself and my girl. She loves the movie Gnomeo and Juliet and wanted to be Juliet, but a blue Juliet because "blue's my favorite color!" For the record, I will continue to dress up in coordinating costumes with her as long as she will let me. That's one of the great things about being a Mom, in some ways, I get to be a kid again! ;)

This girl was super curious about what the crazy lady with the camera was doing sitting on the ground in her field. This was with my 50mm lens, so yes, she was in fact this close to me while I was squatting down taking photos. Luckily, she's a gentle girl. Kind of makes me feel guilty for eating her brothers...kind of, but not really. :P

Now, see, THIS is the reason I don't really feel guilty for eating the above cow's brother. These girls decided to stick their heads through the barn door to get to the hay (and there's green grass to graze on the ground!). There are two with their heads stuck in there, and they got stuck. They half tore down the door when they tried to get free!

Abandoned puppy 09-26-11
Upon attempting to leave my house yesterday morning, I discovered my front door wouldn't open. It wouldn't open because this was laying in front of it. It seems someone thought we needed a dog and decided to drop him off on the road by my house. I wish I could keep him, but my munchkin runs screaming when he gets near her. She likes her own dogs, but can't handle a puppy's enthusiasm. I guess she's just not old enough yet. So now, I'm on a journey to find this baby a new home.

My hiking buddy turned around, twice, so I could shoot this confusing, humongous yard sculpture on the ride to Fall Creek Falls State Park. I live in VOLS country, so it's not odd to see random things painted orange or with big T's on them. However, this one was odd enough to risk parking in a stranger's driveway and running down a busy two-lane highway (in flip flops, of course) to capture. Given it's the mascot of one of UT's biggest rivals, painted UT orange, it definitely warranted a mad dash to shoot!
I wonder if the owners are former Tide fans, or if they bought the house from Tide fans and found it easier to paint than move the monstrosity. Or perhaps they are hard-core republican Vols fans.... Oh the possibilities.
