GOD GAVE US A MIRACLE!!

For months we planned our April 11th, Prom Dress Give-Away. We had several dresses but I knew we did not have as many as I thought we might need. The Sunday before our event, a visitor asked me if I could use more dresses to give away. THANK YOU GOD!!! Over 300 dresses were delivered by a mission team to GOD'S CLOSET. The team also helped hang and size each dress. (The pictures below show all of the dresses) Many dresses have been given away over the past several weeks and girls are still calling to make an appointment to try on dresses. Unfortunately we have to give the other dresses back at the end of this month, and that will leave us with very few dresses. We need your help, WE NEED DRESSES!!! Please donate prom dresses, bride's maid dresses, wedding dresses, shoes, jewelry, purses, slips, we need it all.

This summer we will have mission teams working to build a room (our boutique) in the God's Closet. We will have dressing rooms on one end and the young ladies can borrow a wedding dress, bride's maid dresses, and other items to help them with their special day.

Our Second Prom Dress Give-Away

was this past week, but we are receiving calls daily from girls who are just now finding out about the dresses. Also we made available clothes for the young men attending the SENIOR BREAKFAST. Next year we will have a day just for them. Several young ladies picked dresses/skirts for the SENIOR BREAKFAST.

Prom Dress Give-Away

April 11, 2009

Young Ladies, Mothers, and Friends, began lining up outside at 8:15 for the 10:00am event. Along with dresses, the girls shopped for shoes, purses, make-up, and accessories. Each girl was greeted by her personal "Prom Consultant" who helped her find that special dress. Changing rooms were available to find that perfect fit. We had a dress for everyone that came!

Prom Dresses

We are collecting dresses for the prom next spring. We have about 30 dresses. WE NEED ABOUT 150 DRESSES!!!! Please make a girls day by giving a dress she can wear to the prom. Thanks.
