Today is the last day. All I can say is “finally.” Today was a very calm day, we did not do much.  We only packed our bags, did a little bit of shopping and that’s it.  We are all ready to leave very badly.  Don’t get me wrong China is a great place, but with the baby and no routine with any baby is very hard.   We are all very tired and trying to put Jennifer to sleep is a night mare.  My mom and Mike are trying to put her asleep right now. We are trying to go to sleep, good night.

       

P.S. I will try to do my last post tomorrow night.

Today was an fun day.   We went to a mall, store and to a sports store.  The store mall was huge it was 7 stories tall.  We got some food supplies and I got some tea, lots of tea.  Bringing lots of tea home Tracie.   After the store mall we tried to flag down a taxi for about 20 minutes.  We finally got a taxi and headed back to the hotel.  When we got back to the hotel, I went to a sport store with a friend and his son.  We did not find anything but it was interesting.   We got back to the hotel and then got on a bus and then went to the Pearl River Cruise.  It was awesome, there were so many lights and tall buildings, and it was incredible.

 

Yesterday we went to a jade and pearl market.  There was jade and pearls all over the place, for cheap prices.  My mom got a jade bracelet and a jade necklace for Jennifer.  After that we went to the White Swan Hotel and got our pictures taken with all of the kids.  After that we went back to the hotel and went to bed.   And that’s what I’m about ready to do, good night.

 

 

 

P.S. Hi Tyler, I miss all off you guys so much, looking forward to getting home.  Tyler I got a surprise for you when I come back home.

Today was an okay day.   We went to a zoo in Guangzhou.  It was raining pretty hard outside so it was very wet.  It was sad seeing how the animals were treated.  We saw a lot of animals; giraffes, tigers, lions, hippos, monkeys, kangaroos, and pandas.  It was very cool.  When I was there I got to feed a baby white tiger.  It was really cool holding the tiger, it had huge paws and it’s fur was really soft.  

 Yesterday was crazy. We went to a medical center for Jennifer.   The medical center was on an island.  The island was called Shamian Island. We went into the medical center and it was crazy; Doctors and kids running wild all around the center.  There were dozens of kids there.  They were all getting checkups so they could see if they were healthy to go back to their new forever homes.   After the check up we walked around the island which is a big shopping island as well.

 After walking around we got back to the hotel and ready for dinner.  We went to a traditional Cantonese restaurant.   When we walked to the entrance I thought…Oh no!  There is a bunch of fish tanks all over the place filled with fish and sea urchins that look disgusting.  There were live snakes in cages as well as rabbits and ducks.  It was sad and gross.  They also had alligator guts, alligator head and tail.  Yuck! Luckily we were not eating all of that.  We had a different kind of yuck but at least it was eatable food.  

All in all I had a great couple of days.  We were very busy but they were fun.  I can’t wait to go back to Shamian Island in a couple of days to do more shopping.  I especially enjoyed the zoo.  I’m getting pretty tired and I still have lots of homework to finish so good night.

Today was rush rush day. We had nice breakfast. Then we went back to the hotel room and packed all of our bags. After packing we came down stairs and had a quick lunch. And then we got on the bus and headed for the airport. Are plane was delayed for about 20 minutes, but after the wait we go on and took off. We landed and it was warm, it was cold like Nan Chang and Beijing. We go to the hotel and it is beautiful. Yesterday was a fun day we went to a museum and a porcelain store. The museum was pretty cool. But the porcelain store was amazing; I got a tea set there. I am very tired so I’m going to bed good night.

Today so far has been fun. We went to a 4 story mall. But we had to walk about half a mile in the rain and cold wind, we all got soaked. After that we had lunch and went back to the hotel, we took a cab. Mike, Jennifer, and I walked all around the hotel. Little Jennifer was full of energy when we were walking around, she was like the little energy bunny. We got back to the hotel and Mike, Jennifer, and my mom were napping, while I was WORKING, ARGGG. But it’s alright I’m not as tired as they are, they are very tired.  Yesterday was a relaxing day we rested in the hotel until 2:00; we took a bus to the Tang Wang Pavilion. It was very cool, but cold and rainy until we got inside. Inside we saw a Quick 2 minute show. And then we were rushed out and went back to the hotel. As I said yesterday was a very relaxed day. Right now we are all playing with Jennifer, and about to have dinner soon. Bye bye.

Wow… Today was a crazy fun day. We left the hotel at 9:00 in the morning to sign some papers for Jennifer, and then we went to an other building to sign more papers for Jennifer.  The paper work meant that now Jennifer is my sister for ever After all of the paper signing we went to Wall Mart. The wall mart was two stories tall it was huge; we got dippers, songs, tea, water, and soda the tea here in china is soooo good. After that we went back to the hotel at 12:00 in the afternoon. We had some lunch and we played with Jennifer a lot. Now my mom, mike, and Jenifer are napping. My mom and mike did not get any sleep yesterday; they were up all night until 1 in the morning. They finally got Jennifer to stop crying and fall asleep. But Jennifer woke up at 5, a lot happier then yesterday.  Okay on to yesterday. Yesterday was an awesome day, we got my sister. It started out on the plan ride to Nanchang with are group of adopting friends, then a bus ride to our fabulous hotel, and then 3:20 it was Jenifer time. At 3:20 we left the hotel to the building were we would all get are girls. We made it past the really scary street and made it to the room where they would give are group all of our kids. We made it too the room and only half of the kid were there. It was awesome watching half of the group getting their kids. Mike and my Mom thought they saw two little girls entering the hotel as we were leaving. So we went back to the hotel and she was there. That whole 7 minutes was amazing. Alright the day before yesterday was amazing. We went to Tiananmen Square, The Forbbinen City, and The Great Wall of China. We did not get a lot of time to see all of these sights but they were incredible. Tiananmen Square was really cool it was Chairman Mao tomb was. Lots of people died were we were walking, because of riots.  The Forbidden City was huge, it was gigantic. It was incredible that only one man lived in it. The architecture on everything was really cool. Then after that we had a traditional lunch we had duck with no heads, had rice, lots of pork and beef, and really good tea. After that we took a bus to the Great Wall. The Great Wall amazing, it was crazy going up all of the steps to the first tower. I won the bet with Mike. We had the bet as who ever made it to the first tower won and I made it. Mike kept moving on but I just sat and enjoyed the vista. The steps at the wall were very funny, they would be 1 inch tall and then they would be 2 feet tall. The wall was amazing and I can’t believe how long it has been there and how it was made. These last 3 day have been awesome, tiring, and crazy. We are about to get ready for dinner and I need to do some homework. Bye.
