Raffle items for Fair 2012

The many items donated that serve as raffle items.  The money raised will be used to put a cement foundation under the Thorn Creek School House next to the Museum.  The Society cannot allow people inside the building until it sits on a "proper" foundation.  The goal is to raise $20,000 for the School.

Checking in Antiques

Volunteers help register items prior to judging and arranges them for display during the three days of the Fair.  Volunteers are the energy of the Historical Society and Museum

Checking in or registering your antique for the Fair can get complicated in a hurry.  Need to select the Division the item fits in, then which class.  If there is no "exact" class then the next best is selected.  Each item gets an "Entry"card that is pre-numbered.  It must be filled out with Division No., Class, a brief description of the object.  Each card has to have a name, address and a phone number in order to receive prize money if earned.  Do not throw away the bottom half as you will need it to reclaim your artifact after the Fair.

Each entry must have a "Entry Tag".  Things can be speeded up if the tickets can be filled out in advance, prior to the Fair. Use a pre printed address label for your name and address and place it on the card.  Saves a lot of writing

Antiques at the Fair 2012

After the judge has reviewed each entry, each one has its ribbon attached to it.  The premium earned can be picked up at the end of the fair.

There is no restriction on the type of antique
