At i2i Acres, we have Fainting Goats, Registered Nubian Milk Goats (www.i2iacres.com), Seven Donkeys, Four Great Pyrenese Guard Dogs, One Cat, Two MacCaw Parrots, an African Grey Parrot, lots of wild Deer, and a few wild Hogs running around.
We've had dozers clearing trees for about a month, and are now preparing to build a pond. We are fencing the cleared land, and hope to have cattle (maybe Longhorns) by this time next year.
It's a lot of work, but it's a lot of fun! Our son Nick and I catch fish from the creek running through the property. Our daughter Rhiannon, her husband and our granddaughter (www.tjfarmer.com) also live on the property. Life IS Good !!!
Well, the Prepress business has picked up. I remotely manage File Servers, build websites and color manage printing presses all accross the country. I closed my sign shop after almost 3 years, and have sold most of my equipment. BJ is driving back and forth to Dallas every day. I spend much of my time building fences, feeding animals, mowing fields, building goat pens, cutting down trees and burning stuff.
Life is good!
We've seen more stars in the last few months than we've seen in many years. We feed deer off of the back deck, Bar-B-Que under the trees, bottle feed baby goats, ride around on tractors, hit golf balls at the neighbor's cattle, and enjoy the lack of cell phone signals more than we should.
