Hello everyone, it has been forever since I last took the time to write on this site. Life is crazy busy and the older I get the more I realize it only goes faster. What happened to the days when it seemed to take forever to get to that day you were anxiously looking forward to? Anyway, through all the busy we are having so much fun. Since last time I wrote so much has happened...

In October we finally signed the papers and moved into our adorable home. We have been living in our home for eight months now and are very happy. We have enjoyed entertaining family and friends. We hosted Christmas Eve - that is something that I have looked forward to doing since I can remember. It was so much fun to have everyone together in our home. I enjoyed all the laughter, noise, excitement, fellowship, babies giggling & crying, etc. it was a blast. The day after Christmas Sean's parents came for visit and we really enjoyed our time with them. We got to relax & catch up - its so nice to have a place we can finally call our own and enjoy time with family!

January brought its own set of challenges as I was not looking forward to returning to the classroom after Christmas Break. Over break I began seeking other options for work. God really at that time placed the desire to do daycare from my home in my heart. I had no idea where that was going but I sought it out. We are now in June and Sean and I have decided that I will not return to the classroom but rather stay home and care for other people's children until we get to have one of our own. This is very exciting and very scary all at the same time. It is always scary to leave the familiar to walk into the unknown but God has walked this journey with us every step of the way. Two weeks ago we submitted our licensing paperwork and are now simply waiting for the final pieces of the puzzle to come together. You can pray that God would send the right children to us. Although I won't be returning to the classroom I still have to help contribute to our family income. We hope to be starting this journey by the first of August - right now we are in the waiting stage, we've done everything we can do until they instruct us otherwise.

This past April our 2 month old nephew Jackson Thomas Watt went home to be with the Lord. That continues to be a difficult thing in our family but through that one little life so many lives were forever changed for the kingdom of God. April was a very difficult month as we spent hours in the hospital waiting. Through that week in the hospital we saw the hand of God in amazing ways. We laughed together and cried together and I believe our bond as a family has been strengthened. It was difficult to let go of our little man but we understand that God had a greater purpose for his little life and we look forward to seeing him again when we meet on the other side of eternity. During our time in LA Caden, (Jackson's) big brother celebrated his 2nd birthday. That little guy is a crack up and Sean and I really enjoyed getting to spend some time with him - it is tough living so far away. Though all of this we learned that God is still faithful!

In May Sean and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary. Two years already - wow, time flies when you're having fun! We went to Napa for four days. We did absolutely nothing we sat in our room, had a couples massage, watched movies cuddled up on the couch next to a cozy fire and took advantage of the spa just outside our door. We had a wonderful time celebrating each other. We serve an incredible God who is able to meet our needs far better than we could ever imagine doing ourselves.

On June 26th I attended my 10 year high school reunion. It was so much fun catching up with everyone. Amazing to see where we all are at this stage in life. Fifty percent of our class showed up, super fun. Lots of babies and little ones. Incredible how you can tell which kid belongs to who. God has done some amazing things in the lives of those friends and also at JECHS. I consider myself blessed to have been part of such an incredible ministry and I love that I still get to be involved as some of my students are now students in the process. All because one couple had a vision over 12 years ago thousands of lives have been forever changed. We serve an amazing God!!!

While working on the daycare, we are enjoying our summer as well. We just returned from a wonderful week at Hume Lake Christian Camp. After spending a week with our high school group we find ourselves very much in need of some down time. I had the privilege of being with the Freshman girls last week. We had a blast and three of my girls made a commitment to serve the Lord. It is incredible to be part of the work of God! Also, this summer we are taking care of Elesandra and as a result she got to join us at Hume Lake in the Wagon Train group (3rd-6th grades). She also made a commitment to serve God for the first time. Although she doesn't quite understand what took place I pray that God would bring people into her life to encourage her and love her and teach her on this journey.

As I am writing this entry I am sitting in a beautiful cabin in Lake Tahoe enjoying the amazing creation of my Lord. Sean and I have been so blessed to have made such great friends through our teaching careers. We get to enjoy this wonderful week away together because of great people who love us and believe in what we've been called to do by God. With that said we are on our way to the beach to play with Elesandra. I just wanted to take advantage of this down time and catch everyone up on the happenings of our lives.

Please be in prayer as we begin this new journey in our life. Above all else we know that we serve an incredible God! Thank you Lord for all that you have blessed us with - we are so undeserving.

The last 4 months have been quite an adventure for Sean and I. At the end of April we moved in with my parents as we began our first go round with house hunting. I never thought I would live at home again, needless to say it was interesting at the beginning. Hearing from others around us about the state of the housing market, we thought cool we should be in a house in no time. Well, that was not the case. We diligently worked to finish another school year out in June and then took a month long vacation to visit family, all the while not losing sight of our new job... finding the right house.  Everyday I was on the computer and on the phone with our wonderful realtor, searching for "the perfect house". There were alot of discouraging days, days when we just wanted to give up, but we pressed on. This past week we got the call that has changed our life, finally our offer was accepted on the house you see here. We have decided to move forward in the buying process and we are so excited and so scared all at the same time. This house is quite a gem... it is close to my parents house, it is pretty big, a little over 1900 sq. feet, has a newly remodeled kitchen, that's a huge bonus, it sits on .37 of an acre lot, perfect for our future family and overlooks a beautiful vineyard. We are so excited about all that lies before us.
With all that great information I must say I was pretty frustrated when we got the acceptance call last Friday because I have had my heart really set on another house and I was really hoping things would play out in our favor for that house, not this one. Sometimes God has a different plan and so here we are. Friday morning in devotions I asked all my friends to pray for our house situation and by the end of the day I had the phone call that I wasn't expecting and really didn't want. Well, it turns out that God knows what he's doing. You would think I would understand that by now, but I guess I am still learning everyday! Anyway, the things that we found out were wrong with the house have proven to be minor which was a major blessing. We are thrilled and excited about what God is doing for us. Please keep us in your prayers as we move forward and we will keep you posted on the outcome of this great house!

Yay!!! We have officially been married one year! This past year has been an incredible one. I love being married to Sean, he has brought so much joy and laughter into my life. He is truly my blessing from above. This last year has been quite an adventure and every twist and turn has been interesting to say the least. We have grown so much and have learned what the word means when it says love is patient, love is kind, etc. The joining of two lives is certainly one of God's greatest gifts and everyday we are learning how to love each other more and how to work together as husband and wife. I am looking forward to many more wonderful years with the love of my life!

For my birthday Sean took me to Napa. It was a beautiful weekend and the place we stayed was gorgeous. Sean treated me to a day at the spa which was wonderful and very relaxing! Thank you babe for a special weekend get away I really enjoyed our time together. The best gift was getting to spend time with you, I love you!!!

 Well, we have been married for 5 months now. Where has the time gone? It was such a thrill to spend our first summer off together (we are both Jr. High school teachers). We got married on May 17th with a week and a half left in the school year. After the wedding we took a couple of days off (thanks to our wonderful friends Raymond and Breann who offered to work for us - what a blessing that was) and went back to work with about 6 days left on the calendar. What a crazy time it was. We were anticipating our summer vacation as much as the kids were, maybe even more... We stayed in town for a week after our summer vacation started so that we could get all of our loose ends squared away at work and off we went to enjoy our 3 months of lazy summer days together.
 Our first destination was our honeymoon which we decided to wait to take so that we could actually enjoy ourselves and not return to a gigantic pile of homework that needed to be graded (that was a smart choice). Then we headed to southern California for a visit to the in-laws for two weeks. What a wonderful time we had there. Sean and I spent our days touring LA, visiting museums, aquariums, eating out, babysitting our new nephew Caden, laughing, enjoying our family time and playing lots and lots of cards.
 We returned home almost 4 weeks later to our cute little apartment, which by this time we had spent more time away from than in and really started our new life together. We enjoyed staying up late, sleeping in, drinking hot coffee curled up on the couch, reading books, watching movies, taking walks, talking, laughing and really getting to know each other as husband and wife. What a fun time this was for us.
 Our lazy summer days seemed to fly by and we found ourselves back at September ready to start another school year. The year approached with great anticipation as we returned to the students we are so invested in and adore so much. A new year, a new name, a new start, what an exciting time. Here we are in October, 5 months from the time we said, "I Do" and a month and a half into the new school year and so much has changed. We have become comfortable with our life together. We are enjoying every moment as we get to minister together to our students, we get to work with some of our closest friends, we have gotten plugged in to a wonderful church, and everyday we are learning something new. God has been so good to us and we are looking forward to seeing what the next several months has in store.
