Morning Routines

Please if possible have your child at school by 8:00 a.m. in the morning. It gives your child time to get ready for the school day. The doors to the school open at 7:55 a.m.

Library day for our class is Friday

Our next visit to the library will be next Friday. After that it will be every Friday unless we need to reschedule because of school events. Your child will be required to check out one accelerated reader book and a book of their choice. Please have your child read or share read the accelerated reader book they checked out and let me know when they are ready for a test.

Church Attendance/e-mail

Please send let me know each week if your child has attended church and or Sunday school. Thank you. If you do forget 1 week you can update at anytime before the quarter ends. You may send the information by e-mail. Thanks.

Grading System for Penmanship

Penmanship papers will be coming home Tuesday. This is graded on the 1 2 3 4 system. 1 is Excellent 2 good 3 average 4 needs improvement. I am looking at form, line placement, and neatness. If your child comes home with a 3 or 4 on their penmanship paper encourage your child to practice that letter. The other subjects that are graded on this system: Music, P.E. Computer, Behavior, and Art. The rest of your child's assignments will be graded with a percent and a letter grade.

Great New Spelling Web Site

Parents I found a fantastic web site for your children to practice their spelling words. It can be customized to our spelling words. Just enter the current week's spelling words and your child can practice with games, sentences, and can even practice taking a test. I just played on the site and it was great. Church Attendance and Memory

Please check your church attendance. Is it updated? You can check this on Jupiter Grades.

Please check Jupiter grades for memory. Is your child up to date? If not this is a good week to catch up. The memory verse is very short this week.

MAY 18TH: CHAPEL, GRANDPARENT'S DAY, AND BAKE SALE WOW!!

Our chapel will be May 18th. This is also Grandparent's Day and we will also be selling our bakery goods this day. Wow!! The day begins at 7:50 a.m. for the kids and 8:20 for the Grandparents.

May 17th we will be baking at school and we will need parent volunteers this day. If you are available please e-mail me. The time will be at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Accelerated Reader Trip May 29th?

Parents our accelerated reader's trip (trolley, bowling, and pizza) will be scheduled for the afternoon of May 29th. You are welcome to join us at the bowling alley. Due to limited space on the trolley all parents meet us at the bowling alley.

Field Day May 23

Field Day will be here soon. Please have your child bring a beach towel and sun screen that day. Please have your child wear Tennis shoes that day with socks. These are the safest shoes. Field day will begin in the afternoon. Parents are welcome to join us.
