I just had a little bit of time to explore your site, marvelous photos and thanks for the blog articles, some of those will be of interest to me. I am a new Shutterfly Guru and have not had a chance to use the ANCP for photo books. Joey mentioned to me that you made a "How to use ANCP book" which I am interested in viewing but can not find any more. WOW....This is sort of the kind of site I expected as template option to create when joining Shutterfly.
How do I begin to start setting up the process to progress to a site sort of like this. A single site, with different section tabs composed for different sections for albums under the same theme/topic? Henry, I wanted to thank you for the kind comments on my Crater Lake Book! If you ever get the chance to go there since you live in the pacific Northwest too, you will see that the water is actually that blue, being the deepest lake in the US. Or maybe you have already seen it for yourself, if not I highly recommend it as it was just about the most beautiful spot I had ever seen in my life! I would love to explore your site also! I see you love animal and nature pics too! I will be back! Also, Jenna and I were wondering if you would ever like to get together sometime for a guru meet up and have a photo shoot somewhere close! I am not real familiar with the area where you live, but Jenna is, and now she lives in Woodland, WA., which for me is about a 3 hour drive only! About 4 hours to the Portland area! Jen here. As I wanted to thank you for your gracious comments on my portfolios, I wandered onto the site. Holy cow, you are one talented man.
I am so new to all of these opportunities of the computer world. At 51 years old, I've had a hard enough time teaching myself all these luxuries, much less teaching myself to paint. I've only been painting for about 4 years and if I had my way, I'd be in my studio all hours of the night and day. No offense to my 'best friend' husband!

You've been helpful to me in the forums; thanks! So I wanted to check out your site. It looks great - so many great photos.
I might be doing something wrong in trying to read your articles listed on this page as Gallery Blog articles - maybe you can advise me. When I click on them I keep getting directed to a general Shutterfly blog, not any kind of permalink to the articles, and I really don't see the articles on the page I'm sent to. Thought I would mention in case something is not working as it is supposed to or if, once again, it is just that I don't know what to do! Really wanted to read more of your wisdom!
One other thing - I never heard of the Gallery Blog before this! Is it promoted somewhere on Shutterfly, and I've just consistently overlooked it?

Thanks for stopping by my new summer site. i added a new pic of my brother & sis-in-law's puppy - he is so CUTE!! If i must say so myself - i didn't take the photos, but i can't wait to take photos of Rocky!
Thats funny about fall/winter site. Not a bad idea. I just tend to take more photos during the summer vs winter. But one never knows! How's your summer so far?

I really don't have a book I can recommend. I've mostly been using the camera manual and the camera manufacturer's web site for information about camera features. As far as using a setting other than "Auto" it depends on what you want to use. The manufacturer is still the best source for the preset settings for the camera. However, to use the more creative settings such as aperture priority, shutter priority, or full manual, any good photography book should do even if it is for film cameras because the principles are basically the same. Thank you - I just had a few minutes to look at you collection - wow. I did not realize the scope and opportunity associated with shutterfly site. I jus got a new digital camera FUJIFILM FinePix S2100HD so I should be able to take some real good shots this year as well as video. I take a lot of photos for my eBay business selling OEM Parts / electronic equipment but baseball is my passion.

What a cool header! I love the pumpkins, the catis in pumpkins, and that moon! Hope I can get my friends & grandson over here to see before it gets changed! Thanks for your kind words. I see other sites & don't get 'discouraged'...but seem to notice how WONDERFUL other photos are! I've spent over a year and half gaining the cats trust. They scatter fast when I have company or another resident walks around with me! I got my photos of the deer at my aunts the same way (on my other site). She has the top of a mountain (really. the top of a mountain) and she doesn't let free reign to hunters. Deer know I am not her, so they scatter when they see me. I'm lucky at hiding & when I'm downwind I can get some photos. She's been there over 70 years, so they trust her. That's why they stare in so many photos. They are figuring out I am NOT her.

Thanks for the comment on my site RE the site updates. When I click 'detail', it shows a little more info - but just on two people. I didn't look at all 55, though! I know I'm a member to at least half of them, so I don't get why its not showing up. I do notice on other sites, that not all of their sites they have listed show updates.

Oh, my. I don't know when your birthday is, but I always enjoy late greetings. It seems to make the special feeling last a little longer. Happy Birthday!!! Your photos are incredible. Hi Henry! I haven't visited your site before... love all your photography but am very impartial to the kitty pictures. Adorable! I just got a new camera and have been trying to "capture" our boys (without much luck so far).
