Hi Bryan, Thats a great nickname, I am sure you earned it well....FYI the best course in Hawaii is a permanent basket course in Kula on Maui. It is private but you can play, also one of the best in the world .
I dont say that because its my home course, I have played all over the states and Japan. If you make it to Maui call me Devin Brown 808-330-3973. Right now I am in Thailand for three weeks and not taking calls. But next Hawaii trip make it to Maui, you will be blown away by the course. Have fun on the big island, there is a permanent basket course on the big island at a coffee mill. If you cant find it online let me know. It is only 9 holes but it is a good course. There is also a target course at McKenzie park on the big island, another awesome spot to just check out. Cya, Devin

I will be running two events at the end of November on Oahu. Both events will be held at the back area of Sand Island Beach Park (~2/3 miles in from the entrance). Sand Island is near the airport and is an easy 20 minute drive from Waikiki. Both of these events are open to the public and do not require pre-registration.
Saturday 11/24/12: HDGA TOYS TOURNAMENT - This is a free event, but HDGA does request that players donate $10. This money will be used to purchase gifts for the Salvation Army "Angel Tree" program.
Players meeting at 9:30 AM. This is a fairly easy course with all par 3s.
Sunday 11/25/12: Sand Island Gold Course - A free event although most players tend to put a small wager of $5. The Gold Course

Our November monthly falls on the 24th and 25th at Sand Island beach park. That would be your best bet to play here on a basketed course.

I'm confused. This special event is open to all. Just re-read the directions to the base, and the instructions what to do once you get there. Don't forget to write down Joe Royer's phone number. Check out our regular website posting of this event; www.hdga.org. Hope you make it and have fun. Also, there is our September event on the 29th. Hope to see you then.
