Another successful year!!!  CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL DANCERS & PARENTS!  We have a lot to be proud of!!!

JOIN OUR MINISTRY!!!  If you are interested in joining the Hellenic Dance Academy instructor team for the 2012 season (January - June), please contact Kathy Pappas at 303-913-9062. We especially need help with the high school group. 

Qualifications for an instructor candidate:
 ~ will need to have dance experience (either danced in a group here in Denver or elsewhere) and know Kalamatianos, Tsamikos, Hasaposervikos and Syrtaki/Hasapiko
 ~ worked with children (especially middle or high school students)
 ~ have a positive attitude
 ~ patience to overcome objections brought on by dancers and parents
 ~ the desire to learn and teach dances from throughout Greece 
 ~ must be available every Monday evening from 6:30p-7:30p for the kindergarten thru middle school groups and from 7:30p-9:00p for the high school group.  Regular rehearsals and occasionally additional rehearsals will be required to prepare for upcoming performances and/or appearances with the high school group.
~ the commitment for the high school group is from January-October of every year as the high school group is a performing group and tours throughout the state bringing our culture to various Greek festivals and venues throughout the year.  The commitment for the lower level groups is January-June.
~ this is a volunteer position. 

Teaching dance to our kids is truly rewarding!!!  I was told by one of the dancers that is new to the program that he joined because he wanted to grasp his roots and hopes to carry them on to his children some day!  This was said by a 17 year old!  BRAVO!!!
