Welcome to our family journal! I wish I would have started this from the beginning of our journey with Mason but as most of you know....with a new baby things are very different (no free time).
Things are going so well. Mason keeps us very busy and is pretty much spoiled. (They say you can't spoil them at this age...but I think they are wrong).
Mason- He is growing like a weed! He is now 13 lbs and 2 1/2 months old! What a chubber :) He is smiling all the time and giggling too. He loves to look at himself in the mirror and coo's all the time. He LOVES his bath time...and I mean in a serious way. He can be screaming his head off and when you stick him in a warm bath he is a happy little camper. He is so cute.....we love him to death! He just got his first cold...I was a basket case. I cried. It was just so sad to see him suffer like that, but he is well on his way to recovery. My mom dropped everything and came to my rescue. She went to the doctor with me and then watched him so I could go for an iappointment I had. (I called her at 6:30 a.m.) ~Thanks mom! ~ Mason is also a fabulous jogging partner, he loves to sleep while mommy is working out. He is still not sleeping throught the night, yet he is still on breast milk so he feeds more often. His longest sleep was 5 hours...we thought something was wrong with him when we woke up and he was still asleep..ha! He usually sleeps for 3 hours at the longest *sigh* Can't wait for that to change. He loves patti cake, itsy bitsy spider and wheels on the bus songs and LOVES when mommy sings to him. He usually gets quiet and then smiles. I guess you could say he is my biggest fan.
Bryan- Bryan is still working hard in school. He is getting ready to take his junior comps. He only has one year left now, he will graduate in May of 2009. (thank god!) He studies a lot but spends his down time with Mason and I. He does a great job of getting Mason to laugh. Bryan also gets up with Mason on friday and saturday nights..since he doesnt' have school the next day. It is a nice trade off. I will take what I can get in the sleep department.
Steph- I am getting ready to go back to work after 12 weeks of maternity leave. My first day back is June 16th. I am not looking forward to leaving Mason...I am going to miss him. I feel like we have such a great bond. I am preparing myself as much as possible for it. We have a sitter here in Heyworth, she seems to be really good. I have left Mason with her once and he did fine. She has a little girl herself and two boys around 11 or so. It is nice..she is only a couple of minutes from my house...I could walk there. I have been busy working out since the birth of Mason...I have lost all of my pregnancy weight except 10 lbs. I am hoping to get rid of that in the next few weeks. Of course things are not as firm as they once were...but I am working on the abs as much as I can...between crying baby. Mason and I walk/run 4 miles per day. I am still taking it easy on my knee but will run on it as long as I can until it starts hurting again. Other than that just enjoying time off with my son and husband.
Mothers Day-
For mothers day Mason got me roses, a cute card, 1 hour massage and a 1 hour pedicure at the spa. He also talked daddy into taking 4 days off, to give me some free time to do what I want hands free! It was so nice! I loved every minute of it.
