Tigers roared Tuesday - Y2 group exploded w a GREAT performance - new spirit record approximately +2850 punches
Evening Adults took the challenge, and also did very well. They were determined to set their own Spirit record of approximately +3040 punches.

The 2012 LP Renshinkan Dragon Competition Team has been super all season long. Our athletes improved throughout the entire season, winning many Golds, Silver and Bronzes. Congrats to all our team Athletes, Coaches, and Parents for their superb effort and dedication. Everyone works very hard to provide our young athletes a positive competition experience. All had a GREAT time as our kids & adults finished in GREAT FASHION at the State Championships held Saturday, May 5th.
Congratulations to all of uur team members & families on having completed their incredible Florida season as young “Fight Sport Athletes”, and being named a top 2012 Florida AAU Martial Arts Team!

Sensei Michael Rios and Lydia Heyman continue to work with our youth students, and the students are REALLY having a blast with the young Senseis!
Senseis Sarah Rios and Greg Sapp are also on top of our Adult classes. They both do a GREAT job in their teaching responsibilities and they add a nice dimension to our adult programs. We are also seeing our senior brown belt Sempais taking on more teaching responsibilities and THAT is awesome too!

I am VERY proud of the leadership our senior students have shown. The Red Belt, and senior Brown Belt students continue to lead, and teach the warm-ups and basics in our regular classes. It is exciting to see our senior students growing in leaps and bounds through their new teaching experience.
The senior student's well honed physical skills, and precise technical execution have proven to be great training examples of the Shorinji-Ryu system for our new students.
I am excited that our community is showing a growing, and enthusiastic support of our programs. Our success is testament to our senior students and families who have supported our programs over the years, and who actively spread the word about our programs. I am honored that all of us have taken great pride in our Academy's quality, and success.
It has been a Great Year so far at the Academy!

Encourage and support our youngsters at the Academy. We are a Long Term Student-Athlete Development (LTAD) program. Students who have their parent’s and community's “ACTIVE” encouragement and support simply do better, stay longer, and achieve the long term goals we all want for our kids and our community. There is direct correlation between parental and community involvement and a youngster's success not only in our programs but in everything a youngster participates in. Be active, be supportive, be engaged.

The LP Renshinkan Team members focused on State, and the WKO Elite World Games this year. We developed and trained an "ELITE TEAM" of those Athletes who truly wanted to be NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.
Our students were awesome and we won many medals throughout the year at Regionals, State, and we took a Silver & Bronze at the WKO Worlds. Most important however was that EVERY student gained great experience, significantly improved in every aspect of their Martial Arts, and proved themselves to be amongst the best Youth Martial Art Athletes in the entire State and Nation.
We were awarded a 2012 State AAU Top Team award, and this testifies to the commitment of our students, families, coaches, and community. We thank everyone for a GREAT competition season.
