Thank you for organizing such a great cycling event. It takes a lot of effort, expertise and passion to run a huge event like this and all volunteers and event organizers were so helpful and exceptionally friendly. However, I would like to make a comment on the route change. There were four of us in our group and we all agreed that the ride should stick to not more than 100 miles, which would mean not more than 50 miles a day. The Saturday route itself was much harder than three, four and five years ago, which makes people not to return. We are NOT one of those people who complaint about the hills, we certainly love it, but we think it was a bit too much, the Saturday route. On the ride where you have a huge range of cycling abilities, it would be nice to have a route that is very hard on a couple of parts, but not most of it. We didn't ride last year, but this year we were surprised how many people walked the hills and many, many people complained. It would be nice at least after the last stop to take it easier and finish it with a great accomplishment satisfaction, rather than walking and frustration. Good ride and strong finish make people continue on Sunday, which wasn't the case this Sunday. I know the wind did not help the situation, but I don't think the wind was the reason for so many people not doing the Sunday ride. We hope you will listen our and other people comments and take this into consideration. Another note, the downhill where the accident occurred on the bridge should be avoided; that is such a dangerous spot! Again, thanks for listening and putting such a great event together year after year!
