I rescued 3 dogs from this gassing facility. Transportation was fairly easy and low-cost. Contact me for more information. I do not pull the dogs myself but have contacts that can help.

How can you help???

2) Donate supplies--dog food, dog bowls, heartworm preventative, flea meds, etc.

**There are a lot of dogs dying of heart worm, Parvo and heat exhaustion in Pontiac and Detroit because people are uneducated. They don't know mosquitos cause heart worm and/or can't afford the medication.

3) Donate new or used dog houses, baby pools, hay, and blankets for me to take to chained dogs in MI with no shelter. This need is URGENT. In the winter it is COLD, in the summer it is HOT.

4) Share this blog with everyone you know. Direct their attention to the URGENT DOGS. The more people who can see each dog, the better chance they have of finding the perfect forever home.

5) Foster a dog for a weekend. JUST THE WEEKEND. These rescue dogs need one-on-one attention & love, and it would be lots of fun--for you & them--to hang out together for the weekend.

6) ADOPT A DOG!

7) SPAY/NEUTER your pets. NEVER BREED OR BUY FROM BREEDERS. If you want to adopt a particular breed, there are breed-specific rescues in almost every state.

8) IF YOU SEE AN ACT OF ANIMAL CRUELTY... a chained dog with no shelter, an underweight dog, an injured dog who isn't being treated... you need to contact me, your local Animal Control, or your local rescue group with the address & info. DO NOT TURN YOUR HEAD!

If you remember Andre, he was the goofiest lab/pitty mix you've ever met. There wasn't a dog, bug or human he didn't like...just a friendly guy that loved life! We had him as a foster dog for 6 months and the challenge was OUR DOG didn't like him:( So Mr. Friendly could never come inside.

I was frantically searching for a home for Andre and thought the right one would never come along. BOY WAS I WRONG!

Andre's fur-ever famiy adopted him in February 2011 and he has been spoiled ever since! He went from the shelter life, to the good life...Kibbles & Bits, to Filet Mignon.

Andre was one day away from being euthanized at a kill-shelter in Georgia...and look at him now (see photos below). Every penny and every effort is worth it to save the life of an animal...espcecially the ones like Andre. God Bless you Brooks Family for being Andre's angels! <3 xo
