Soup Suppers-
February 22, 2012 at 6:00 PM and continue every Wednesday thru Lent.  Watch for the sign up sheet to Volunteer to cook the soup.
 
ATTENTION!!  SEDER SERVICE COMING?-Pastor and the Deacons would like to have a Seder service in 2012 for Maundy Thursday.  It is a great service as we eat the Passover meal and Pastor teaches us how the Seder meal points to Jesus.  In the coming weeks, we will be asking for volunteers to help.  Please consider not only attending the service, but also volunteering to prepare the Seder service.

CASH FOR TRASH-
  The 2013 LWML Convention will be hosted by 6 Districts, our Atlantic District being one of them.  To earn funds to cover expenses of the convention we will be collecting printing cartiridges for a "Cash For Your Trash" program.  Accepted items are Hewlett Packard, Lexmark, Compaq, Apple, Dell and most Canon, IBM, Optra,Brother,Panasonic,Samsung,PitneyBowes, Sharp and Toshiba.  We CANNOT accept fax printing ,film printing ribbons, toner tubes for copiers,Epson, remanufactured or refilled cartridges. We will also be accepting cellphones,pagers, IPODS and MP3 players. Please put items in labeled box in the Narthex.  Any questions, please call Inez O'Brien, 631-286-3470.  Thank you for your help in making this a success!!!
 
COUPONS-

 Please sort coupons into food (anything that is consumed) and non food categories.  Place categories into marked baggies or envelope and place in basket on table in the Narthex.  Do not save specific store coupons as they are useless.  Please continue putting your clipped coupons in the basket. 

The coupons are sent to military installations overseas.

Clothing Drive-  Ladies Guild, on behalf of United Veterans Beacon House will be collecting Good,Used clothing and shoes for men, women and children.  A box will be in the coffee hour room beginning next Sunday Until November 13.  Clothing will NOT be accepted after November 13.
 
SOCK SUNDAY-
Fall weather brings a chill to the toes! The fourth Sunday of every month is declared as Sock Sunday by the Ladies Guild.  Socks as well as Hotel size toiletries will be collected on this day and any Sunday.  They will be donated to the INN (Interfaith Nutrition Network).  These items are much needed and will be most appreciated.  Yes, socks of all sizes, etc. are needed!
 
Always remember the Veterans Home in Yaphank.

From Western Long Island

Take the Long Island Expressway (495) to exit 66 North (Sills Road).  Stay in the left lane on the ramp and at the light make a left onto Sills Road (just past the overpass, make sure you stay straight DO NOT go to your right.)  Sills Road becomes Yaphank-Middle Island Road. Continue on the road around Yaphank Lake (on your left), pass town Gazebo (on your right). Pass the Middle Island Country Club (on your right).  There is a traffic light at Longwood Road (road is to the right).  The church is past Longwood Road on the right.

FROM EASTERN LONG ISLAND

Take the Long Island Expressway (495) to exit 67N (Yaphank Ave.).  At the end of Yaphank Ave. turn left onto Main Street.  Make a right at the first traffic light in the town of Yaphank onto Yaphank-Middle Island Road (there is a gazebo on your right).  Stay on this road.  You will pass Middle Island Country Club (on your right).  There will be a traffic light at Longwood Road, which will be to your right.  Go straight at the light.  The church will be on your right (after the light).  Make a right into the church parking lot.

FROM SUNRISE HIGHWAY

Take Sunrise Highway to exit 55 North (Patchogue-Yaphank Road, Route 101).  This road becomes Sills Road.  Stay in the left lane on Sills Road 
(just past the overpass make sure you stay straight--DO NOT go to your right).  Sills Road becomes Yaphank-Middle Island Road.  Continue on this road around Yaphank Lake (on your left side).  Stay on this road through the traffic light (the gazebo will be on your right).  Go straight.  You will pass Middle Island Country Club (on your right).  The next traffic light will be at Longwood Road (on your right).  Stay on Yaphank-Middle Island Road.  The church will be on your right past the traffic light.  Turn to the right into the church parking lot.

Please note that there is no smoking on the church property inside and out.
