Welcome to the Organ Study Tour organized by Dr. Huw Lewis for students studying organ at Hope College. This tour was conceived in 2007 when Olivier Latry, titular organist from Notre Dame, performed the dedication recital on the renovated 1929 E.M. Skinner organ in Dimnent Chapel. The first tour was experienced by Professor Lewis, students, and select donors in Paris in 2008. Subsequent tours were hosted in London, Germany, and the Netherlands. The tour revisited Paris in 2012 with performances, master classes, and exhibitions at La Madeleine, Les Invalides, St. Sulpice, St. Gervais, Notre Dame d'Auteuil, St. Eustache, St. Thomas d'Aquin, and St. Augustin. Frédéric Blanc, titular organist of the great Cavaillé-Coll organ of the Church of Notre Dame d'Auteuil, was our host for a recital on May 19, 2012 and his home, the apartment of Maurice and Marie-Madeleine Duruflé.
