Volunteers Needed!
A big event like the Science Fair is only possible with the help of many volunteers. All kinds of different jobs are available. If you think you can spare an hour or two on the day of the fair, we would love your help! 4:15 pm-5 pm Set up & Registration
5 pm-8 pm Scientific Parent & Community Expo
Available for viewing and interaction
5 pm-7 pm Student Project Display & Evaluation by gradeee
All students will be set up in the gymnasium. Your child will be assigned a specific time period for evaluation. Students can walk around and enjoy the fair, then return to your project for evaluation at the specified time. Special judges from outside the school will determine the winner for each special category.
-Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grades will present their projects to a parent evaluator. The specific time to present your project will be given to you at the registration check-in table the afternoon of the fair
- 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade Students in the non competitive category will present their project to a parent evaluator. The specific time to present your project will be given to you at the registration check-in table the afternoon of the fair. Your child will not be eligible to win a trophy. After the student's presentation, the parent evaluator will present your child with his or her medal.
- 3rd 4th and 5th Grade Students participating in the judging categories, will present to an independent judge. The specific time to present your project will be given to you at the registration check-in table the afternoon of the fair. Your child is eligible to win a trophy. If they do not win a trophy, they will receive a participation medal.
-5th Grade Invention Convention students will present their project to a judge. The specific time to present your project will be given to you at the check-in table. All inventions will be evaluated by an independent judge.
7 pm -7:45 pm Science Show Presentation:
"Bugs of Blackwood" presented by Piccirillo Science Telling will be returning again to the Science Fair at Hopewell Elementary by popular demand!
8:15 pm Trophy Presentations
8:30 pm-9:00 pm Science Fair end & Clean up If you would like to leave your projects at school for all to see, you may leave them on the tables in the hallway that will be set up outside the Art Room
