Hopewell Elementary School PTO - Book Fair
Books are candy...unwrap one today!
HES PTO and JaZams are teaming up for the Hopewell Elementary School Book Fair...the annual literacy event designed to inspire kids to read and discover a myriad of quality books. It's a four-day event--Feb 28-Mar 2--in the HES Media Center. There are lots of fun activities for everyone:
For Kids…
-
On Tue 2/28 & Wed 2/29, students visit the Book Fair with their class, browse for books, and make Wish Lists, from which they or their parents can purchase books.
-
Each child leaves the Book Fair with a FREE BOOK compliments of HES PTO. The book is selected by the teacher and student together.
-
On Tuesday Night 2/28 (6-8 pm), don't miss the Book Fair Kickoff Celebration with Cat in the Hat. Kids will sing Happy Birthday to him in the Cafetorium at approximately 7:00 PM. Door prizes will be awarded (winners announced during Wednesday morning announcements).
-
On Friday night 3/2 (6-8pm), the 5th Graders are hosting an Ice Cream Social in the Cafetorium. All proceeds will help fund 5th Grade end-of-year events.
For Parents…
-
Browse and purchase great quality books at any time during the Book Fair:
Tue 2/28: 8am-4pm & 6-8pm
Wed 2/29: 8am-4pm
Thu 3/1: 8-10am & 3-5pm
Fri 3/2: 8-10am, 3-5pm, & 6-8pm
-
Peruse and possibly purchase the books on your child's Wish List...you'll be buying something you know they'll read. Or, buy a requested book on a Teacher's Wish List for your child's classroom.
-
Note that JaZams accepts credit cards (Amex, Visa, Mastercard). And, a percentage of every sale is donated to HES PTO.
-
Parents can purchase books from the Teacher Wish Lists as gifts for the class. A personalized bookplate will be added to the book in recognition of your gift.
For Teachers…
-
Teachers, too, will peruse the Book Fair and make Wish Lists for their classroom.
