The Latest Happenings....

God has blessed us abundantly with the arrival of Zoey Lynne Houlihan! She was born on February 16th weighing 7 lbs. 11 oz. and 19 inches long. She has been such a great baby and her two big sisters have been the perfect helpers. Zoey is getting plenty of kisses and hugs....smile. If Gracie and Hannah had their way they would have her dressed up in play clothes, riding a bike, and playing soccer by now. This has been the best baby transition for us thus far. We are so thankful for the peace of God that surpasses understanding.

Zoey means "life". The Bible mainly uses three root Greek words for life:

Psyche: The breath of life, is the seat of the feelings, desires, affections (our life, heart, soul etc.).
Phil 2:30 "for he risked his psyche for the work of Christ..."

Bio: the period or course of life.
1 Cor 6:3 "...How much more the matters of this bio?"

Zoe: is life real and genuine, a life active and vigorous, devoted to God, of those who put their trust in Christ, and to last forever.
Gal 6:8 "... but for the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal zoe."
Col 3:3 "...for you have died and your zoe is hidden with Christ in God."
1 Jn 2:25 "This is the promise which He Himself has made to us: eternal zoe."
John 12:25 "He who loves his psyche loses it, and he who hates his psyche in this world will keep it to zoe eternal.
