Barely Autumn
Fall is just starting to touch northeast Ohio

Training Grounds
We're lucky to be able to train in the beautiful Rocky River reservation

Sunglasses Needed
That is a bright jacket

Zoom!
HP tests out her autumn accessories

Whoosh!
Scott blinds surprised pedestrians with his reflective coat

Fashion Plate
HP is color-coordinated with her bike

A Breather / Photo Op
Scott stretches out in the metropark

HP or Bono?
Both are fundraisers, and both have groovy sunglasses...

Coffee?
Where's the coffee at?

A Beautiful Day...
...but oh, so chilly!

We're Really Serious?
Yep, looks like we're definitely going for a ride in 18 degree weather

Look At My Shoes
HP sports some new road shoes for her tuned up bike

We Are Stark Raving Mad
HA HA HA BRRRRRR HA HA HA

Golf Course: Closed
It's a little chilly on the front nine. And the back nine, too, I guess

Thanks for Visiting...
...the frozen tundra. On your bikes.

You Talkin' To Me
HP shows off her 'windblown' hairstyle

Pre-ride dinner
Around 700 TNT members got to see the Surgeon General and fill up on pasta.

Happy to see you
And yes, those ARE bananas in HP's pockets as we had our final night-before meeting.

Okay already
We all want to get on the bikes, but we have to wait until morning.

Coach Benny
In patented "morning-vision" at 6AM as we prepare to get in the start line.

Len and Debbie
(Yep, in "morning-vision")

HP
Captured giving an uncaffeinated, withering look (in "morning-vision"!)

Smiling
Because we're insane.

Here come the sun
HP watches the moon disappear as we stand in the starting line with 4,000+ cyclists.

The view in front
The actual start is waaaay up there.

The view behind
Yes, there were a sh*tload of crazy people on bikes. In the desert.

Not Isrealites
Crossing dry riverbed 1 of 2. It was harder than riding.

Grumble grumble
HP carries her bike

HP and Kate
Post-river-crossing. Now we're happy again. That lasts for about 10 miles.

Airplane graveyard
Sadly this photo doesn't do it justice. It was awesome looking - planes of all shapes and sizes.

Boy scouts rock
They held our bikes while we went to the potty and stuffed our faces with Oreos.

Is it getting warm?
Who's idea was this, anyway?

Dips
That's dips in the road, not dips on the bikes.

Kate is dubious
Who's got the map?

40 mile stop
Leigh, Debbie, Nicole, Scott, HP and Kate all deny their butts are hurting.

Bike carrying part deux
The second round of portage was even longer. Yay.

A desert ride... it'll be fun
At about 1:30 or so, we noticed it was getting hot. And only 60 miles to go!

Looking down
This was a really steep, but mercifully short hill halfway through the ride.

I'm calling AAA
We found an unused bridge (over an unused river) where we could change HP's tire

Yep, that's it
Pretty much sums up the whole day except that the bike is going downhill.

Finally!
After 2 flat tires, lots of water stops, a little cussing, and about 11 hours, we did it!

Oooh, arty
Our medals and pins with suitable deset scenery. Courtesy of Olan Mills.

Delusional
Did we really go all 109 miles? Or did we hallucinate everything after mile 87?

Coach loves us
He thinks it's cute when we 'snuggle'.

Mean Machines
Our new bikes are awesome!

Happy Bear
Happy because we aren't saddle-sore yet

No...
...these are not bicycling shoes. But these are bicycling socks that rock.

Coordinated
HP with a Buckeye bike to go with her Buckeye everything-else

Halfway There
You'll never guess what the cute little cabin is behind HP

Zoom
Going...

Zoom Zoom
Going...

Zoom Zoom Zoom
Gone!

Happy Again
Because now we're going out for snacks!
