June 17 - Hart Ransom finished off the season with a strong home win against the Crysler Giants Friday night as Jacob Silviera, Coleman Bowman and Tyler Shafer each blasted home runs and pushed the Red Sox Season record to 12-2. Thanks to the Families, Coaches and Kids for the support this year and congratulations on a very sucessful season.
June 12 - Hart Ransom Red-sox went toe to toe with perfect Lady of Fatima until a bad defensive outing ruined a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the 5th. You could feel the momentum starting to shift towards another Red Sox victory , but a few easy outs turned into a few easy runs and the Vikings never looked back as the game slipped through the gloves of the Red Sox. "You have to hand it to Lady of Fatima and the way they put the ball in play a lot (16 times) as the team who made the made the least amount of errors came away with the win", Said coach Shafer after the game. Offensively, Cody Hubbard, Scored a run and a hit, Tyler Shafer went 2-3 and scored a run with an RBI. Coleman Bowman singled and scored an RBI, Cameron Goldman and Jaycob Silviera each singled, Vincent Casteneda singled and scored a run. Redsox Pitching had an equally good day with only 3 walks for the day along with 6 K's. "In my opinion, Lady of Fatima is the best team in the Leaque mainly due to a smart experienced error free defense and the ability to put the ball into play", said Shafer. Next up for the Red Sox is the final game of the season next Thursday, June 17th against the strong Crysler Giants at Hart Ransom, game time is 5:30pm.
June 1 - Not until a six-run fourth inning could the Hart Ransom Red Sox rest easy in their hard-fought 10-2 victory over the Chrysler Giants in their first game of the Home and Home series Tuesday evening at Chrysler Elementary School. Player of the game, Shortstop / Pitcher Tyler Shafer knocked in three runs in the first inning giving the Red Sox a 4-2 lead. Tyler Shafer also pitched a superb three inning shutout which included 9K’s, 1 Hit and 1 walk. Dylan Lee also had a great night at the plate with two hits (2B and single), 3 RBI’s and 2 Runs. Also scoring were Cody Hubbard, Jack Shaw, Coleman Bowman, Mason McGinnis, Jaycob Silveira, Vincent Castaneda and Adrian Ayala. With the victory, Hart Ransom pushes their season record to 11-0. Next up for the Red-Sox is home date with Lady of Fatima on Friday, June 11.
May 28 – The Hart Ransom Red Sox showed their power and handed Modesto Christian a 15-9 defeat which completed the two-game sweep of the visiting Crusader’s Friday night at Hart Ransom School. The Red Sox jumped out front and led 9-1 going into the fourth Inning. Coleman Bowman pitched two shutout innings followed by a couple of good innings of work by Tyler Shafer. Cody Hubbard led the Red Sox with two hits (Single and Double) and Coleman Bowman and Jaycob Silveira each cracked doubles. Jack Shaw and Coleman Bowman each scored three runs a piece followed by Dylan Lee and Cody Hubbard each with two. Most all other batters had a hits and everyone reached base at least once. With the victory, Hart Ransom pushes their record to 10-0. Next game, the Red-Sox take to the road and take on Chrysler School next Tuesday evening. Game time is 5:30pm.
May 24 - The Hart Ransom Red Sox downed Modesto Christian Crusaders, 10-1, in a Monday evening contest at Crusader field. Hart Ransom pitching held the crusaders to only one run primarily due to a mainly error free defense. Hart Ransom Player of the game Catcher / Pitcher Mason McGinnis retired the Crusader batters in order during their last at bat. McGinnis also went 3 for 4 and scored a run. First baseman Jack Shaw scored four runs while going 4 for 4 at the plate which included a double and a triple. Coleman Bowman and Tyler Shafer each scored three runs apiece, Dylan Lee and Adrian Ayala each scored twice. With the win, Hart Ransom improved their record to 9-0 for the season. Modesto Christian will visit Hart Ransom on Friday night, game time is 5:30pm.
May 21 - Sacred Heart has passed on completion of suspended game next week in which Hart Ransom led 15-10 in the top of the 5th. Because of the forfeit, the official score will revert back to the previous innings score of 10-10. If Sacred Heart would have forced the game, by rule, it would have been played on Saturday, May 29 during Memorial Day Weekend.
May 21 – The Hart Ransom Red Sox took the lead early with seven runs in the first two innings and went on to a 10-3 triumph against the visiting Sacred Heart Spartans during a windy and chilly night at Hart Ransom School Friday night. Coleman Bowman tossed three shutout innings with five strikeouts and two walks and was backed up by the solid Red Sox defense. Player of the game Dylan Lee led all scorers with three runs and turned a couple of really nice plays at second. Cody Hubbard scored two runs and Jack Shaw, Jaycob Silveira, Cameron Goldman and Anthony Correa each scored a run. Hart Ransom has a couple of days off this weekend and will then take to the road to face Modesto Christian on Monday Night; game time is 5:30pm.
May 18 - Hart Ransom is leading 15-10 with bases loaded and 1 out before game is called due to time / darkness. That's what was dealt to the Red Sox as they visited Sacred Heart Spartans in Patterson Tuesday night as they took a 10-10 tied game into the 5th inning. By rule, the game will go on from the exact point of suspension at a later date.
Hart Ransom found themselves in a see-saw battle in a game of strategic baserunning, good hitting and couple of spetacular game saving catches made by Cody Hubbard in center field. Tyler Shafer's pitching held the Spartans to only one run in two innings of work. Jack Shaw scored three runs and Cody Hubbard, Coleman Bowman and Mason Mcginnis each scored two runs. Meanwhile, the Red Sox look forward to this Friday when the Spartans travel to Hart Ransom for game two of the series. Game time is 5:30pm.
May 14 - After only playing one game in past two weeks, Hart Ransom had no problem finding their swing as the Red Sox cruised past the Eisenhut Eagles 13-1 in game one of the weekend series Friday night. Jack Shaw, Coleman Bowman and Tyler Shafer each blasted deep drive Home Runs and pitched an equally productive night as they each combined for 13 strikeouts while allowing only 4 walks and one unearned run. “I was sort of proud and surprised on how well the kids had success at the plate tonight”, said Head Coach Jeff Shafer. Jack Shaw, Tyler Shafer, Anthony Correa, and Cameron Goldman each had two hits apiece, and most everyone else had at least one hit. Jack Shaw, Tyler Shafer, Jaycob Silveira, Vincent Castaneda and Adrian Ayala each scored two runs apiece and Cody Hubbard, Coleman Bowman, and Anthony Correa each had a run. Game two of the weekend series is Saturday at Eisenhut School, Game time is at 1 P.M.
May 7 – Hart Ransom took to the road to face a strong Shiloh Paradise team Friday night and held on to win 10-7 in dramatic fashion. Hart Ransom Jumped out 7-0 in first three at bats, however Shiloh responded with 7 runs over the next two innings. Coleman Bowman pitched three shutout innings with six strikeouts and extinguished any hope of a further Shiloh comeback to finish the game. “I’m really proud how the kids came out today and started strong, and to be honest, I was a little worried after a week long layoff. It’s rewarding to me to see how the Kids are improving each game.” said Head coach Jeff Shafer. Cody Hubbard scored three runs, Jacob Silveira and Cameron Goldman each scored twice and Dylan lee, Jack Shaw and Anthony Correa each scored a run. The Hart Ransom Red Sox have another long week before facing the Eisenhut Eagles at home next Friday at 5:30pm.
April 30 –Jack Shaw blasted a base clearing hit to center field late in the game and the Hart Ransom Red Sox rallied to sweep the Modesto Christian Crusaders 8-6. Hart Ransom started the game off a little shaky due to a couple of fielding errors, but solid pitching performances by Jack Shaw and Coleman Bowman kept the game close. Dylan Lee scored two runs followed by Jack Shaw, Cody Hubbard, Coleman Bowman, Mason McGinnis, Cameron Goldman and Anthony Correa each with one run. The win pushes Hart Ransom Red Sox to 3-0 for the season. Hart Ransom’s next game will be on the road at Shiloh Paradise next Friday May 7 at 5:30 PM.
April 27 - Tyler Shafer pitched three shutout innings with seven strikeouts in the windy chill of Crusader field in Salida, beating the Modesto Christian #2 team 9-5. "No fun at all," Many of the fans said, referring to the conditions -- temperatures in the 50s and winds that gusted to more than 30 miles per hour. "It was a weird day." Also, Jack Shaw blasted a bases clearing triple in the 4th after his pitching held the Crusaders to only two runs. Dylan Lee, Cameron Goldman, Vincent Casteneda each scored two runs apiece. Hart Ransom is looking forward to this Fridays home game against Modesto Christian #2. Game time is 5:30pm at Field #2 at Hart Ransom.
April 23 - Hart Ransom took a early 4-1 lead off of Tyler Shafer's three run infield hit until Shiloh battled back to take a 8-4 lead in the top of the third. Jack Shaw provided two innings of solid pitching which included six strikeout's. H-R's first Home-Run/Grand Slam of the year came from Coleman Bowman, which put Hart-Ransom back on top 10-8. The Red Sox get the weekend off in preparation for next weeks Home / Home Series with Modesto Christian.
