Hunters Helping Kids is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that makes the dream of HUNTING come true.

HHK takes KIDS hunting that in most cases would never have the opportunity - by enlisting the involvement of many volunteers that are interested in helping preserve the hunting heritage for our KIDS and yours. The future of hunting and outdoor shooting sports is now in the hands of those of us that enjoy the great outdoors. We have to educate and get the KIDS involved, especially the KIDS that want to hunt but have no one or nowhere to go. Many of our young people today are in single parent families that have little or no knowledge of exposing them to the outdoors and all the great things there. Hunters Helping Kids "Mission" is to reach these KIDS and open the door to any KID that wants to step out into the world of HUNTING and shooting sports.

Each year we do an Ultimate Kids Hunt. The winners of this hunt are furnished with a gun, camo clothing, hat, gloves, boots and other necessary equipment that they keep after the hunt. Their families are welcomed and furnished lodging and food as well. This is only one of the hunts that HHK does each year. We do several individual hunts for special KIDS as the opportunity arises.

HHK is supported by lots of hard working volunteers as well as other individual and corporate sponsors. Our main source of support comes from fund-raising banquets. Our banquets are similiar in some ways to DU and NRA. We have raffles that include a number of guns as well as great games and a live auction. Most of our merchandise is limited edition or exclusively made for HHK. The largest difference is that the HHK chapter keeps 50% of the monies made after all expenses are paid.

The money made from the banquet is then used for a KIDS DAY. The main focus of our KIDS DAY is to allow those the opportunity to fish, shoot a gun, bow & arrow and much more. Every KID who attends leaves the KIDS DAY with knowledge of hunting and a understanding of safety. Overall it is a fun day for everyone!

3rd Annual Kids Day Event

The Davie County Chapter of Hunters Helping Kids will host a FREE kids field day event for youngsters 3-16 years of age on Saturday August 1, 2009. Registration will begin at 8:15am and the event will start at 9:00am and end between 3:00pm - 4:00pm. The event will take place at Smoot Farm Lane (off Calahaln Rd)

A fun-filled-day of outdoor activites such as fishing, shooting, archery, rock climbing (just to name a few) is planned and lunch will be provided for all who attend. Bring a chair or blanket to sit for lunch if you like. Parents are sure to have as much fun as their kids!

Attendance will be limited and pre-registration is encouraged so we can plan accordingly. Registration form is attached, so please send back ASAP. For more information or questions, please contact Pam Roberson @ 336-492-2934.

Hunters Helping Kids Banquet

This year our Banquet will be held on May 1, 2009 at the National Guard Armory in Mocksville, NC at 6:00pm. You may purchase your tickets now or at the door. Prices are as follows:

Single - $25.00;

Couples - $40.00;

Kids 12 to 16 - $15.00;

Kids under 12 - Free;

Sponsor - $250.00 Ticket includes: Admission for Two Adults & Two children up to 16 years old, a sponsor gift, a chance at a sponsor gun and a book of tickets.

Price of tickets includes dinner.
