The kids had a great time painting pumpkins today!!! The Olympic SEM Unit ended yesterday with a wonderful olympic games! The kids really enjoyed themselves and I will be posting pictures soon!! Thanks to everyone who helped make it such a successful day!!

Our SPOTLIGHT STUDENT for the next two weeks is Cassi Post!! Great Job Cassi!!.....Keep up the good work!!! We have a spotlight student every two weeks!! Each SPOTLIGHT STUDENT is given the opportunity to bring in show and tell one day and share pictures with the class. They are allowed to have lunch with a friend in the classroom! They also get a homework pass!!! CONGRATS SPOTLIGHT STUDENTS!!!!!!!
What's going on in the classroom?!?!
Math: We have started our unit on Division. We are still continuing our timed multiplication tests. The kids are working hard on learning their facts!!! Keep practicing facts with your child, so that they can pass their timed test each Friday. We will have the 7's test on Friday. If they do not pass a test, they have to take it the next Friday!
Language Arts/Reading: This week the students are reading The Stories Julian Tells. This story is in their reading book. They will be having a reading and spelling test on Friday. They are to bring their books home on Thursday night to reread the story and prepare for the test on Friday.
Science: The students are learning about Rocks, Minerals, and Soils. The students spend Monday and Tuesday with me for Science and Thursday and Friday in Social Studies with Mrs. McDaniel.
Social Studies: The students our learning about major landforms and rivers in the United States with Mrs. McDaniel. They will be having a test next week. (Thursday or Friday)
SEM: The SEM unit on Global Warming has now started!!! We have several fun activities planned for the students!!! We will be ending this unit with a "Trashion Show." The kids will be constructing art projects made out of trash!! (Clean trash lol)
Thanks to everyone who has volunteered, sent items in, and just been helpful in getting everything that we need in the classroom!! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful group of students and parents! You guys are great!!!
