This morning I was driving to church, as usual, flustered by the way the morning went.  It's always crazy Sunday mornings in our house.  I know the devil works his hardest on Sunday mornings to make me upset enough to not go to church.  It doesnt work...he should just give up!Anyways....as I was driving I got to thinking about what was about to take place today.  Chris and I were about to dedicate our little girl to the Lord.  We were about to promise to always raise her in His ways and teachings.  Then I began thinking about the church we were doing it in. 

This is the church that I was saved in when I was 12 years old. This is the church that when I was 17 my car was hit in the parking lot by Russell Goodwin.  It's the church I was married in. It's where I work 4 days out of the week, it's where I'm at most Wednesday nights.  And now it's the church where all three of my wonderful children have been dedicated to the Lord. What a cool thought. I began to thank God for those three precious gifts that he gave to Chris and I.  Three of His most precious children that he let us borrow while we're here on Earth.  I just couldn't believe that Chris and I could be so fortunate.

What a cool drive I had to church this morning.  Can't steal my joy devil!!!  (Thats for you Chris)

I have discovered the worst thing about being a parent today.  It's not changing diapers 5 different times before 10 a.m., its not not having a good night's sleep in five years, and it's not being referee to boys fighting over a toy that came from a kid's meal.  It's much worse than that. It's something that you are never prepared for, it's something that no one warns you about and it comes much faster than you like for it to.  And the worse part about it is that it is inevitable; it's going to come whether you want it to or not, even if you do prepare for it, it's always much worse than one could predict.  So what is it????

They grow up!

I mean just yesterday (it seems) I found out the most shocking news of my life.....I was pregnant?? How can that be?  What's Chris going to think?  Worse! What's Daddy going to say?  And now my precious baby, the one who changed everything for me.  The one who changed who I would be forever; the one who finally made me start living, really living, I just left sitting at a desk, in a classroom, in an elementary school. More importantly, under someone else's supervision for 6 hours and 45 long and miserable minutes.  I couldnt get to the pick up line fast enough!!!

The one, or should I say two, things that got me through it was at home waiting for me.  They are blessings in so many ways.  But before I know it, they too I will have to leave at a desk for the first time.  What will I do then? 

Get a puppy! 

I am so devastated! My baby boy is going to Kindergarden in just three weeks.  I knew the time would come fast but I never predicted that it would come this fast!  We've been buying school uniforms and school supplies.  We got him a "big kid" haircut and believe me, if you run into him, he's going to make you rub the back of his head!  HA!  But at the same time, I am so excited for this new chapter in his life.  I'm excited to see him grow and make new friends.  I know the first day will be hard but I still get to walk him to class and make sure he gets there safely.  The hardest will be the first day I drop him off and he gets out all by himself and he has to get there all alone. I will be scared all day.  But I know he has to grow up, thank goodness I have two more that aren't going anywhere any time soon!!!  LOL!

The family had a big weekend this past weekend!  Jonathan and Lauren got married and it was the most precious wedding!  It was sweet and fun and like all weddings reminded you of your own day.  It was so amazing to sit on that stage and be able to stare across the alter at my own husband (being the best man) and see him staring back at me!  It made me want to do my day all over again!  J/K!  I did good not crying all weekend until Brock walked down the aisle.  He was so grown and handsome! It just reminded me of how blessed the Lord has made Chris and I as a couple!  I hope you can see just a glimpse of the joy we shared this weekend in my pictures!  Enjoy!

Let me tell you what fun is....fun is riding in the boat, listening to "Kiss Kiss", watching the kids play in the water, and watching Chris killing himself on the wake board.  David and Sonya invited the fam to their lake house in Arkansas.  It was awesome.  I think my favorite thing was just being there with nothing to do. We just hung out.  It was so great to relax, the only stress for the weekend was who was getting the last cupcake.  And that was a riot watching my teeny-timy sister fighting my very large husband for it.  LOL!  Enjoy!

We went to Dallas the weekend of the 4th to visit Chris mom and dad.  They had bought a new house and the kids and I had not seen it yet. It is the perfect house for grandkids.  The boys love the pool and love the gameroom.  Papa even bought an air hockey table which I'm sure will lead to chris and I needing marriage counseling.  (Chris you know I am the air hockey master!)  The pictures I took of Brock flipping in the pool are with my fast shutter so I got every move, but I want you to notice the faces of everyone in the pics.  Chris and Scott look like they are throwing a small car!  HA!  We had so much that weekend.  So much we went back the next weekend for some more action.  Love yall

HAHA!!! We went on our first beach vacation this summer. We went with our best friends, Stacy and Larry Ross and their Three kids.  Yes!  All together there was TEN of us!  We were worried that Orange Beach might not survive, but it did! Brock and Cameron shared a room that had a sign hanging that said "Be nice or go Home."  So that was our theme for the week.  HA!  Anyways, it was so much fun and actually relaxing to do nothing everyday.  We are definately doing it again next year.

Tracey - this is so awesome!! I have heard of shutterfly but haven't seen it used. I can't use it because it's not MAC compatible.  It's really great getting to see your pictures - you've got some "mean" ones of Chris wakeboarding and wakeskating!!!! ha
