Last Friday the Poinsettia fundraising forms (See below in HANDOUTS) were handed out to the players. I am emailing copies to all of you so there are not any surprises when your son reminds you the day before we collect the orders. If anyone has the emails of the following players it would be appreciated if you could forward to me.

Poinsettia Change Announcement
Please see the amended instruction below in the HANDOUTS / TEAM INFORMATION section for the Poinsettia fundraiser. Please note the check drop off date has been changed to Wednesday December 2nd due to a game scheduled on the 3rd. If you any have questions please feel free to contact Robert Bray at 425 314 9810.
Parent Meeting and Message from Coach Johnson
We are looking forward to a great season this year! I hope I have been able here to create a distribution list for most parent/guardians. I have asked coaches to get email contact info for a few families in the program that I don’t have email addresses for yet.
We will often communicate via email, and my website as well. For example, on my website right now I have player expectations to download and read, practice schedules, and game schedules. If a player needs hard copies, let us know and we can provide those too.
The main message we’d like to communicate here would be that we are having a parent meeting on Tuesday, 11/24, 6pm in room D112. This is the classroom on the ground floor closest to the tennis courts. Please make every effort to attend. It will be crowded in my room, so we’d prefer that players not attend.
Concession Stand Help Needed
We have been approached by the JHS Senior Class of 2010 asking if there are any volunteers available to work the concession stand during the basketball season. If anyone is willing to volunteer please let me know or contact :

2008 Les Schwab Hoop Challenge
A message from Coach Johnson: A handful of players still need to get the signed rules back into their coach. Saturday, 12/13, the Varsity plays in the Les Schwab Challenge at Bellevue Community College, 2pm. This is an honor to be asked to play, and we play a very competitive opponent. Vashon Island is the top ranked 1A team in the state, they have a bona fide division 1 player and, from what I’ve been told, they would match up well with the best in our area, regardless of school size. As one can see from the complete event schedule pasted below, we’re involved in just one of many great games that day at BCC. Hopefully we can have people out to BCC to support us, as well as taking in some other great basketball. For those that are on the varsity and suiting up for this event, I need to permission form I passed out Monday signed and returned ASAP, as we’re doing this paperwork since no transportation will be provided and players can arrange their own transportation.
