Team work

 This team is better than scores or records show, all we need is more guys pulling together and playing with alot more fire and desire to win! We beat ourselves with these penalties and mental lapses. We have to give 110% every play to make ourselves better and to win these games and I know we can do it. Hope everyone talks to their kids and tell them how special it is to be part of a team but more importantly not to let their teammates down! Lets work a little harder and turn this thing around! 

Upcoming Events

Good Morning!!!! 

I wanted to remind everyone that we are making reservations for hotel rooms next weekend. We are staying at the . The number is 573-445-8531. When you make your reservation make sure to let them know you are with the Warriors 8^th grade team. Breakfast will be provided with the hotel cost Sunday morning. They have an indoor pool and Bar and Grill on site. I don’t want anyone to feel that this is mandatory. We have not collected much money for the team yet to cover room cost so if you feel uncomfortable spending money on a hotel room it is totally understandable.

This Saturday, tomorrow 9/3 we will be practicing at from 8-10.

Next Saturday 9/10 we will be practicing from 8-10 immediately followed by the car wash at Lowes in Arnold Commons. We really need to work together to earn as much money as we possibly can for the team. We will need soap, rags, and buckets. My daughters and I will be making signs this week and I have a few Fox Varsity Cheerleaders lined up to be at the intersections to collect money and direct traffic our way. I don’t have a length of time established as to how long we will stay there. I figured, as long as we keep bringing in customers we will continue washing vehicles.

Practice will continue next week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 6-830. This is our last week of practice before our first game so let’s BRING IT!!!

Labor Day Weekend

Bob wants to know if any families would be interested in a free tournament this weekend. We would be guaranteed two games. Please let us know ASAP

Family Picnic

Thank you everyone for making the family picnic such a success!! This is going to be a great season!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend....back to practice Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 6-8 at the Khoury fields. Please make sure all the players are at practice Tuesday....we will be refitting jerseys that night and we need to get this order completed ASAP. Team/family shirt order forms will be available Tuesday and if you want to get your orders in for the first game we need to get on this QUICK................

Saturday 8/27/11

Practice has been moved back to 8am this Saturday at Ridgewood. Uniform fittings will be at 9. Family picnic will be at my home at 12. All the players were given an information packet last night that included schedules, photo order forms, fundraiser @ Detours info and directions to my home. Please let me know what you are planning to bring to the picnic tomorrow ASAP so I can make sure everything is covered. Bob and another family have contributed money...I bought hot dogs,brats, burgers, and buns and covered the difference in cost.

Fox High School Varsity Warriors are playing tonight at Fox.....come out and cheer the team on!!!!!!

Car Wash

I have just confirmed with the Arnold Common's Lowes that we can have our car wash on September 10th. I know this is going to be a busy weekend with our first game Sunday but we need to get some MONEY raised for the team :) Since we have practice that morning until 10 I plan on going straigt to Lowes after. They are providing us with hoses and nozzles. All we need to bring are buckets, soap and rags. My daughters and I can make signs and I am going to try and get some of the Fox Cheerleaders to stand at the stoplights to help us bring in customers :)  It was suggested that we can also sell Gus's pretzles so I will be looking into that today as well. I expect FULL participation from the team.....this is for the playes and families should not be responsible to do the work. Anyone interested in helping me collect money and keep on eye on the players would be greatly appreciated!!! If you or your child cannot help out I think it would be appropriate for you to pitch in some cash to support the team. We need all the money we can get to help make this a fantastic season. I will see everyone tonight!!! 6PM @ Khoury Fields 

Family Picnic

Bob has decided to move practice to 10 on Saturday morning. The team will begin uniform fittings at 11. Practice will run until 12 followed by a family picnic to give everyone the opportunity to get to know each other. At this point we have cookies, pasta salad, and buffalo wing dip on the menu. Please let me know what each of you would like to bring and i will add it to the list. The only request Bob has is not to bring soda for the players. Feel free to bring whatever you and your family would like to drink. We will be at the Ridgewood fields so you may want to bing some lawn chairs as well. We will have "team cards" to hand out tonight with the player's #s and names on them. This will help for games so we can all cheer each other on.

Week of August 22

Uniforms will be fitted this Saturday morning at the Ridgewood practice. Make sure to have all the team members present so we can get these orders submitted. There will also be special orders for family members as well. The design is still being developed. These will be at a great price and are nice to have bc we can also wear them next year when the team moves up to the High School level. See everyone tonight!!!!

Saturday Games

Great job yesterday everyone!!The team did an awesome job and thanks to all the family members who showed up to cheer them on!! Practice will resume Tuesday. We will be ordering uniforms this week so be sure to have your $75 turneed in no later than Thursday.
