wooooohoooo, the mountains got several feet of snow over the weekend, but I have been fighting off some bronchial chest illness and have not taken many photos this year. Here we are and it's Monday again!!
Amazing Race kicks off on Feb 20!! Yippee!! Love the Race!!

So... we were going to go to the Hockey Game and food sample night for 5.00 on Saturday!!... Well... we got there and there were about 300 people in line!! So we went out for the Chinese Buffet instead! Note to self: .. get advanced tickets for that one next year! ha! I was sad...I was planning on taking pics! - We actually have tickets for Feb 10... so I'll get some then!

Jean, my dear friend, we got out first snow of the winter today. BOO BOO I long for springtime.   I'm loving your Zoo pics on the home page. Fabulous.   I am trying to keep up with my Photo a day project and hope to post the month of January at the end.
So far it's working.

 How sad what happened on the Costa Concordia. and the captain was such a fool.  Those poor passengers. 

I read in the TV Guide that Amazing Race is coming back next month but don't know the teams as of yet.  So glad you get to spend time with your two little angels.  You are truly blessed.

Let's see what is new on my end:  My niece Gianna is expecting her first baby next month...it's a girl.   Her sister Nicole is engaged and getting married next year in April and she asked Stephanie to be a bride's maid.  I was totally surprised.  I found out this morning that my sister in law Anna, who lives next door to me and spent New Years Eve with us at Lorenzo's, her dad passed away.  He was ill and suffering from stomach cancer.  Funeral will be this week.  Otherwise O'm just longing for sunshine, warm days and spring.

Marina has been bargain shopping like crazy this week! She got some new heels, panties, and bras! Then she got us new dishes for our new apartment!

I love all the new animal headers! Yes it is currently snowing in the mountains, with much more coming over the weekend, finally and yahoooooo. However, this afternoon a fire started just south of Reno with high winds whipping up the flames. Over 10,000 people have had to be evacuated, including the area of a guy I work with, at least 7 structures have been burned! Bummer eh.

Jean, I love your new years headers! It sounds like you had a fun time this year! I bet you are glad all your surgeries went well, and are over with! That's a great start to a new year! My dad is doing about the same, but seems to be able to walk a little better for some reason! But he has a hard time getting a lot of his words out, and is having some trouble with his swallowing! I think since he can walk better, they may go home and when she wants to go out, have my son come over and pay him something, so he will have some money for gas and a few things! I can go over at least once a week too so she can get out! I got used to seeing my dad every day, but it is hard for them to just live in the living room, they have no privacy!
It did snow for the last few days here, and we have about 8-10 inches in places! It is so beautiful! I love it, but am ready for it to start going away again like it is suppose to be doing starting tomorrow! I wanted to go out and take some more pics today before it left, but just had a pajama day! Yes its official that we will be moving in our 3 bedroom apartment February 1st! Then mid February moving Joe out of his apartment. We have all the moving trucks reserved. There is so much to do my head is spinning! Its exciting though to finally have our family under 1 roof! Then we also be able ta add a new member to our family! (A furbaby because we got a pet friendly unit finally) we waited so long for this! Its going to be an awesome spring and summer! :)

Hi! How are you doing? Any plans for the weekend?

Marina got back home on Wednesday night. I am so happy she is home safely. It was a long stressful day but she did great! She had so much fun on her trip to Venezuela. It was an amazing experience. Last night Marina showed me the pictures her and Raul took on my camera from when they went to Colonia Tovar and the beach and they came out awesome! I can't wait to post them to my site. :)

Good news....Joe is moving here in mid-late Feb. The down side is 2 more moves for us. That will make 6 moves in 19.5 months. Crazy isn't it?!!!!

I am so happy you had fun with your sisters and mom. That is awesome that you make it a priority to always see them.

By the way, where is the picture of Boomer. I have come here several times to look and never found it. Did you upload it yet? I have uploaded tons of pictures on my home page I have a few new albums. The 1 is of the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. Taking pictures was a huge challenge because you couldn't use flash. I did my best. I love how the jelly fish ones came out. It was a fun place to go. Can't wait to take Joe there. :)

Hi Jean, just thinking of you and your trip to Jackson Hole. You will love it. You must drive around on the scenic drive. We saw so many bears so be careful. We stayed a Jackson Lake Lodge and it is old and beautiful. I had a hard time leaving the lodge because it faces the Tetons and the view is breathtaking. It is hard to get a room. We stayed in a little cabin and I loved it. They have a place for dinner and huge room with windows that look out at the Tetons. I think I took 300 photos of the sun going down. Be sure you go on a rafting trip it is usually 1/2 day and easy floating on the Snake River. It has amazing views and take your camera. Also you schedule a trip over to Yellowstone. MUST see OLD FAITHFUL INN, AND GO ON THE SECOND LEVEL AND LOOK DOWN. YOU BETTER GET RESERVATIONS MADE!

Hi! How are you? Can you believe it snowed here in IN but it hasn't snowed in Buffalo, NY yet? Its so bitter cold. I'm not ready for this cold! Looking forward to spring! Marina's enjoying 80 degree weather in Venezuela! I miss her so much. Marina left on Christmas night to Houston first then to Venezuela. Its been a long 8 days so far without her. It seems like months or even years. She will be home on the 11th. Thank god I have her laptop and found a way to get on sites to keep me busy. LOL!!!

Happy New Year Jean! Thanks for stopping by my site. I haven't been able to get on the sites through Shutterfly but Lisa had the link to her 52/365 sharesite on facebook so I clicked and I got on! Isn't that weird?!!!! Only problem now is that I normally don't go on facebook with Marina's laptop because her virus protection ran out. I wonder if I put my sharesite link in my email if I can get on the sharesites. If I go through Shutterfly then the JAVA SCRIPT warning comes up and it won't let me go on.

OH WOWEE!!! Loving all the Christmas magic here!!! I think for us it might be a brown Christmas - can you believe that and it was 55 on Sunday. 55 in December is unheard of - usually we have 2 feet of snow by now. Yes! Last night Rob and I were driving home after dinner and were amazed at the full moon last night! Today has been steady for me...I hope this is a fast week too.

Had a fun time at the Dinner Theater - 'I'll be home for Christmas'... Golden Days of Radio. The dinner was very good and the performance was good too! It's not one of the bigger Churches here in town, and one of the main singers was losing her voice (I felt bad for her!) ... but the characters in the play part did a good job - it was opening night! This is my 4th year for going! I appreciate that they put this on for the Community! :0) 13 years now!

Yesterday work was a beast!!... I hope to have everything caught up today! We are getting ready for a new 2 year contract with Intel for 1/2 of our guys! I'm so thankful for this work!

My yard is still full of snow!!... our Yard is loving the moisture...it's been a long time since we've had this much...but yikes...it's usually all gone by now!

Wow...I got an extra long weekend! A Big Storm came rolling in starting Sunday night and by Monday it was a mess out there! Funny thing, the east winds slowed the storm down from coming into Albuquerque...so it sat out on the west mesa where I live...and it dumped about 10' of snow in my yard! I tried coming into work yesterday, but people were sliding all around me...so I went back home! I did get a lot done! Decorating for Christmas is so much fun... work...but fun! I love the way things turned out!
Got to work fine this morning...but our Parking Lot....eeeeek!! ICE and lots of it!!
Right now, the sun has just came out, we are about 13 degrees and there are snow flurries!! .... ahhh New Mexico!! :0)

Jean, Your pics of your ornaments are beautiful! Yes we are going to the million lights show tomorrow night! We decided to go before it starts raining again, and it is really cold in the 30's but it is at least dry!!!! It seems to add something to the fun when it is brisk and cold, makes it seem like the holiday that it is! It is fun to get dressed up in our warm coats, scarves, gloves and hats! Ethan is excited, we will be there when they open at 5:00, so we can get in the famous doughnut line before it gets too long! Glad you got to go to the river of lights show too! Can you believe Christmas is 27 days away?!! Are you ready? Did you put up decorations yet? I bet Hannah is so EXCITED for Christmas. Did she see Santa yet? What did she ask for this year? She is at such a fun age.

Did you go black friday shopping? This was the 1st year that we didn't we are so financially strapped paying for 2-3 places for 17 months. :(

Thanks for stopping by my site. I just got back Saturday night from NY and I am still EXHAUSTED! Joe came to Indiana for the 1st time for 3.5 days then we took him back to NY and spent 3 days with him. It was really nice having time with him in NY since the visit in Indiana was so complicated with Rob working 12 hour shifts and leaving 5:30PM every day, Marina being in school and having to drive her and pick her up everyday, then car problems and repairs, then Joe had to be back in the apartment every day for hockey and football games!

How was your Thanksgiving weekend? Did you cook or go somewhere for dinner? We had 3 Thanksgivings spread out from Monday until Friday. We did 1 in our apartment in Indiana when Joe was here. Joe helped me make 3 homemade pies and slush cake. Then Rob helped me get the gizards out of the turkey(grosses me out) and he also peeled and cut the potatoes and I did the rest. Then we went to NY and had Thanksgiving dinner with my dad and his girlfriend Susan in her house. It was so nice. Then on Friday night we went to my cousins and had Thanksgiving dinner with them. It really was the nicest Thanksgiving week in a long time. It was so relaxed, fun, and peaceful. It was a blessing that we were all together unlike last year. Did you get to be with all your kids and grandkids this year? Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving week as well! :)

Jean, We did have a wonderful Thanksgiving! My son and his wife cooked all the meal except for the pies I made the night before, pumpkin and pecan! It was the first time I had somebody to cook the whole meal, I usually do it for the family! Jean, Yes went into Manhattan and saw a taping of the Nate Berkus Show. My episode will air in a few weeks. It was fun seeing how the tape the show. This was my second time and hope to get tickets for the spring. Afterall they are free, and then had lunch with Victoria during her lunch hour. I so love going into NYC and spending the day. Hope you do get to go to Chicago again soon. What things did you do when you went there? We are dying to go to the Shedd Aquarium and hopefully will be able to do that next weekend since Rob's work has it FREE all month for employees and their families. I'm not sure if you can go as many times as you want until the end of November but if we can only go 1 time we will wait for Joe to come to Indiana. He is suppose to be here on November 19. :)
How did your Halloween go? Did you get to see Hannah and Naomi dressed up? Did you go trick or treating with them or stayed home and passed out candy? It was an action packed weekend again which I am so thankful for since the kids are in NY. I would of been out of my mind. On Friday, I went to that Halloween party with my friend Angela which was a blast. They had tons of food, cool decorations, awesome costumes, fun people, a keg, drinks, a band, flaming pumpkins, etc. I was exhausted Saturday and had so much to do. On Sunday we went to a fall festival at a park that reminds us of a park called Chestnut Ridge back home. We loved it. The fall festival was awesome. They had tons of food, hayrides, decorating pumpkins, a balloon designer, games, bonfire, smores, and trunk or treat. It was all FREE!!! They just asked for you to bring a dish to pass! We had so much fun! Then on Halloween I went trick or treating with my friends Christianne, Mary, Britt, their kids and their friends. It was so mcuh fun. Then we went back to Christianne's to have some wine and watch movies and then we slept over. Now I am off to pick Marina up from the airport. I will be back soon!

Chicago was AWESOME!!! Thanks for checking out that album and for all your nice comments. We lucked out that weekend because it was gorgeous out that weekend. We went to the Navy Pier, on a boat ride, shopping, and out to dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp. :)

We missed the Elvis Festival 2 weekends ago but did do a ton of fun stuff because it was really nice out that weekend as well. That day was the recognition ceremony and testing for the EEU and we volunteered all morning and afternoon. I am not sure if I told you about the EEU program but Marina and I have been volunteering there for 2 months now and it keeps us so busy and brings us so much joy. The EEU is a program that uses horseback riding as therapy for special needs kids. Its such an AMAZING program. Anyways, the ceremony was so special. Seeing the kids get their trophies was so heartwarming and we were truly blessed to be apart of it. They were so EXCITED and so PROUD!!! It was so much fun then we took a 4 mile walk and checked out a little shop downtown and went to lunch, then my friend Christianne invited us to a pizzeria. It was an action packed fun day.

Jean, Yes I am grabbing some time every now and then! So far everything is going fine, just a little crowded in the living room, but worth every moment I can get with my family! Oh and I didn't know you ever went to Chicago. That's so cool. If you ever want to visit Chicago let me know. When did you go to Chicago? We have been there a couple of times because we only live 45 minutes away. Isn't that awesome?! Last year we went to the Taste of Chicago. It was so fun and we met Adam the guy who eats HUGE amounts of food. I can't think of his last name but he is on the FOOD CHANNEL. We went to the zoo in the winter. Another time in winter we went for Chicago pizza and walked around. Now this time we went to the Navy Pier, for a boat ride, and ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp. We want to go to the aquarium next month if god willing Joe gets to come Thanksgiving week.

I am looking forward to your cruise and hot air balloon festival pictures! Sorry to hear about your cropped pictures didn't get saved. That is so frustrating when you put in so much time and effort and then you lose them to not being saved or the computer freezing up! Just think it could have been worse and they all could have got deleted by accident. My dad and his girlfriend Susan went on a trip and used a Kodak machine in a store and somehow when they put the card in it they all got deleted. I have no idea how that could happen because before discovering Shutterfly I was a permanent fixture at those Kodak machines in Walmart and Target. Now I can do my editing right in my house in my pajamas anytime....day ...or....night! THANK GOD FOR SHUTTERFLY!!! Hope you have time to work your photos this week.

Jean, I am so glad you had a fabulous trip! Did I read that Steve's luggage was left? Have you gotten it back yet? I know you were having a lot of fun this week at the balloon festival, or was that last week? I am so behind with some of my share sites that it is not even funny! After I get Ethan off to school in the morning and do some chores, and get on the computer for a little while it is time to pick him up it seems! Then I have to let him share the computer after he does his homework and reading! He is 9, and is reading at High School level, also with great comprehension! I am so proud of him! He was reading Lord of the Rings trilogy, and those are big books! They must read 30 minutes everyday at least, and half of it out loud to somebody! The kids were finally able to move in with us yesterday! It is going to be havoc I know! Alan and I were able to go to the Seattle Sounders Soccer game last night! They are now officially the only other team to win the U.S. Open Cup 3 times in a row! It has been going on for 98 years! It was so exciting, I left my camera in the car since it was going to rain, but it never got very bad! Last year when we went to it I took lots of pics and never had the time to post any! I did manage to get most of my camping pics up, but will have part two up soon, I hope! I am anxious to see some of your trips photos, but I know it takes a while to get them all together, and sorted! Will have to say goodbye, it is almost time to pick up Ethan from school, at least I won't have to be doing that after today, unless something comes up! I really don't mind, because I have had him here almost a month now, and I miss being his only caretaker, except for Alan! Sometimes I don't agree with the things the kids might do with him, so that part will be hard for me! I guess I think his mom is too strict! I have to learn to keep my mouth shut and learn a lot of patience! I guess I better go or miss the good parking spaces! Take care, and enjoy your grandkids too! deb xoxox

Balloon chasing is hard work....... Jamie kept wanting to walk to the end of the bridge and then would look back and there would be the balloons coming over the bridge and we'd have to hustle it back to the bridge railing so we could be in place for the balloons that would just appear!! haha!!

Jean, first it was a BLAST to meet you, Steve and Rhonda & Mike. WOW I was so happy we got the chance even for just a short while. Returned home last night and we were all so tired. It will be a few days till we get use to out inner clocks again. So much to do and catch up on, but it was worth it. Had a wonderful cruise and so hope you and your family did too. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

The oil is used by massage therapists. You just use a tiny amount because it heats up. The parents say it makes the arthritis joints feel better. I may have to test it out myself.

Ever heard of Kwan Loong Oil? Pat (at work) swears it makes her and her mom's aching joints feel better. Pat's daughter is a nurse and found it somewhere. She sent a sample to Big Momma. She and Big Daddy like it and I had to order them some.

Rain is finally in the forecast for this weekend! Bring it on....... we'll BBQ under the patio cover! Just hope it's not dropping a flood until after Kay sails!

Jean, My grandson would love to go on a whale trip, I will take him next year with us to see the Orcas, which I have not seen yet also! He will be moving in with us next month when their lease runs out! The kids, grandson, and his 4-H collie dog! My son got laid off last Friday after the company he was working at closed down! He is desperately looking for a job right now! It is really hard, there are so many homeless in our county that just need jobs! So I am taking him up to see his new school that starts next week! I hate that he doesn't know anyone and had to leave his old school buddies! Our school is the same one we all went to school at as kids, and it is 3 blocks away only! I will walk with him until he meets some new friends to walk with! I was surprised that they have to wear uniforms in a public school, but they have to have black or blue pant, and white shirt! It is a very nice school, it has been totally remodeled, and is bigger than when I went there! I hope he likes it! I gave him a haircut yesterday, and it turned out pretty good, it is so thick that I had to recharge the shears before I could finish, and it was not even long! I guess my now quiet house will be filled this year! We want to let them live here until they can save up for a new place, which may be awhile with the price of rent out there right now! So I will be busy this winter, that's for sure!

Jean, I think of you often! I am sorry that your FIL is back in the hospital, I know how taxing that can be, that's for sure! Wow, it is only 3 weeks until your trip, I would be so excited! I am excited about a camping trip we are going on the day after labor day! That way the kids are back in school here, and it is really quiet in the woods! I hope we can make it up the coast of WA. to the very farthest north, and back past the Hoh Rain Forest National Park, and camp along the way! We are tenting it, so there are a lot of beaches that you can camp at on the coast, but it will be cold, which is better than too hot for me! I am hoping to see the craggy stone out cropping along that part of the coast for photos! I also want to see where the Columbia River dumps into the ocean up there, I have seen it before, it is on the reservation, and it is gorgeous! Huge wave action!
I have had my grandson off and on the last few weeks, and go to mom's at least once a week to help her, and starting to cut down all the dead flowers in the yard already! And I made two books which I had to get done before today also! So that is why you have not heard from me!
I will be back before your trip though, but if something happens I am not, have the best trip of your life!!!! I can't wait to see all your pics! deb xoxox

Glad to see your hand is healing well, enough to do some internet surfing!! Say that firework shot you liked, was at the baseball game, they handed out 3-D glasses, and I took several photos through the 3-D glasses. Quite the special effect, a new trick I learned at a baseball game of all places, LOL!

Jean, I had a great time on the whale tour even though we only saw the small whales, the boat cruise was 6 hours long with gorgeous scenery, and fantastic company! I am so glad I went even though dad was in the hospital, it was great to get to know Jamie, Kay, and Linda a little more than I had before! They were all so sweet!!!! I had Jamie take a special pic of me in a special fun pair of sunglasses that I have had for a few years with cateye like patterns in rhinestones, especially for Rhonda, since I know she collects sunglasses too! I hope it turned out, and she gets to see it!
How is your father-in-law doing? It is so hard to keep everything going here! I feel like I barely have time for the gallery, but miss my share site buddies! We finally found out what dad has, it is called LEWY BODY DEMENTIA! It is part Parkensons, and dementia together, and is causing many hallucinations! He is now on two meds to help with this! I finally broke down last night and let myself have a good cry, and then went back to being strong for mom and dad! We will care for him as long as physically possible at home!
It won't be long and you will be on your trip to Europe, how very exciting! I know you and Steve will have a wonderful time! We were going to go camping at Mt. Rainier this September, but now I want to camp up the coast of WA. to the very top, weather permitting! We had one or two days this summer that it got up to 80 degrees, and the rest has been in the 60's and 70's occasionally! Very strange summer! But it is better than cooking, so I am not going to complain one bit about the weather!

Ok, so that was so much fun seeing you guys on Tuesday! I am so glad we were able to connect. I agree with Gary....Kay has a georgeous smile! Colgate commercial worthy, in fact. I loved watching Caulin and Bubba playing in their own "galaxy" and even though the mosquitos dined heartily on our legs, arms, necks...it was worth it! How did the surgery go, is it healing well so far??
Sometimes God gives us time to slow things down,
even if it is not the way we would of thought of.
I had to stay home from work 2 days this week with flu
like symptoms, got some rest time, yet still got a few chores
done.

Jean, I was just going to come over to your site and ask how your hand was doing, and I looked on my site, and you had been there just 4 hours ago, letting me know how things are going! So, I am glad to hear that your stitches will be out on Monday, and soon you will be typing away again! And be able to use your camera! I just love the picture of you holding little Naomi! I also like the photos of Hannah, especially that black and white one, how adorable! Only 10 more days before I see Jamie, and the whales! It is going to be a blast I know! I am looking forward to getting to know Jamie, Kay, and her mom more this time! I tend to be shy around more people, and let them do the talking, but with just the 3 of them it will be different! At least they are certainly going to get a quick cool down, if things continue the way they are! We haven't gotten out of the 60's much, but might be in the 70's when they come I hope! I don't want it to be too cold on the boat ride! And it should be warmer of course for them when they hit eastern WA. It is more on the desert side! Glad you liked the fireworks photos, I used a tripod for the first time, getting use to how to use it the best way. It was quite the eventful weekend for me, yesterday afternoon at work I hit an energy level crash, after being on the go all weekend in the heat!
I got to go up on a tethered Hot Air Balloon ride on the 4th, would love to go on a real ride, makes me looking forward to the Great Reno Balloon Race coming up in Sept.!!

Went into NYC for the 4th and spent the day "playing tourist".  Went to Central Park, Lincoln center (photos coming soon)  Saw the fireworks on TV.  Did go about 2 or 3 years ago.   It is a madhouse.  Plus I like the east side better than the West Side (Hudson River.)  Hope your 4th was fun and safe. 

YES!!  my dear we are all excited about the cruise.  Making all my lists of what to bring and what to do before we go.  The girls can't wait.   And Stephanie goes away also next week to LA & San Diego, CA.  I'll miss her but it is only 9 days.

Ok.... If I have too! :0) When Kay and I went to the movies last Friday, we went to see Soul Surfer! So, we are sitting there and were watching all of the trailers for the upcoming movies - seriously...there were like 10 of them!! Jean, We also had a nice quiet 4th! I don't get Ethan until next weekend I guess, the kids had a barbeque to go to where there were kids his age to play with! Alan worked on house projects, and I goofed around, except to make the dessert for the barbeque wing cook off at the next door neighbors! Alan won the wing cook off, he is so proud of himself! He is a great cook, especially with meats, which is great with me! He loves to cook! Then we had a big fire, actually we had a nice little fire in our pit almost every night this weekend! I love to play in fire, and meditate in the flames! I know you guys love the outdoors fire too! I will be meeting Jamie, Kay, and Jamie's mom on the 24th of this month to go on a whale watching expedition! I just have to get up real early to drive to it! It should be a blast! It will be Orcas we are looking for, and there are a lot of them in the Puget Sound! I bet you just loved holding that little sweetie, while the kids were playing and watching the fireworks! Jean, I just love the name Naomi! A really good friend of our family in our church is named Naomi, and I always loved it! You look radiant with your new little girl! How sweet she looks, and such a pretty baby! That was extra special for it to be on Fathers day also! I need to jump over to her page and check out the photos you have so far! I would have been here sooner, but was just a little down, with this weather! It was 56 degrees this afternoon, we almost roasted! LOL!!! I wish I could send you some rain, and a little bit of coolness! I feel for you guys, I could hardly take it! At least some sun struggled to come out, and it did not rain today, and is going to get in the 70's next week!
My grandson was so cute on the phone today, he called and is all excited about getting to be in 4-H this summer, with his pet guinea pigs! He is going to enter one in the fair this year! I feel bad because he never gets to do many fun things in the summer, due to both parents working, and money being so tight, we help out as much as we can! Sometimes I feel bad when I see so many of the shutterfly kids doing so many activities in the summer! Maybe some day something will change, I just don't foresee it! He mainly just watches cartoons when his parents have to work at the same time, and can't leave the apartment, since he is only 9! They don't like to leave him, but they can't afford daycare, and so they got him an emergency phone, which he was calling me on today! He was really proud of that!
I am going to check out Naomi's new site now, and I know you are a super grandma, and Hannah is lucky to have another sister to play with now! I bet she is proud of her too!!! Try to stay cool, and I will catch you later my friend, Deb xoxox

You must be so excited, the baby coming anytime now! Whenever the phone rings you will be thinking is this the call!!!! I was hoping to hear better news about your FIL! I am sorry to hear that you will be spending his birthday too at the hospital! Dad was finally able to come home last Friday, so I have been resting up, and he has physical therapy twice a week, and is doing well with his walker! But he just turned 77 the day he went in, and you said your FIL was going to be 81, that can make a lot of difference! You will have a busy weekend to be sure! I hope I find out right away, when you get the chance about your new grand daughter! My son's birthday is tomorrow, and he will be 32! It makes me feel old thinking about it! There are so many things I would like to do while I can still hike around! But this year finances are tight, since my son was unemployed for so long, we kind of got ourselves where we have to be careful too! When you have grandchildren it is hard to say no when they need money for rent! Well I know Hannah will be a great big sister! Have fun while you wait! I know Kay must be excited too! After a long, long, long and wet winter, we are finally getting some nice spring weather this week, so many of the hikes will be pushed back until more of the snow melts. I do plan on going on a hike to a waterfall just outside of Reno this Saturday! By the way, keep an eye out for some new Gurus, they are roaming around some where :o)

We had a terrific weekend in the mountains! So crisp and clear! In fact when we got up there on Friday, the mountains higher up then us that had a lot of pine trees were flocked in snow...and they were so pretty! It was a pretty chilly day, so we dressed warm and drank lots of hot tea! We ate our meals in the trailer and did some walks around the campground...no one was there but us! Sadie loved that ....because she had free run of the place! Saturday Kay and Rob met us and we had a full Saturday! Sunday a lovely hike, Pinecone 'church' and we headed home! We need to go for more then just a few days again!

Nic...I'll work on that picture! And we will look forward to your glowing reports of NOT being frozen for months at a time and know that you'll be soaking up all that sunshine and warm!! :0)

With Nic in TX.........I WILL be down that way a lot more! :0)
Kay... = Lots more vacation time in your next job!! Maybe even some meetings a couple of times a year in TX! How cool would that be!!

Happy Friday to you Jean.....our cruises are just around the corner. I am so excited!!!! You don't know how bad I need to get away.

Taormina, I may have been there when I traveled to Sicily when I visited my grandparents back in 1975.   But I am not sure, I'll have to ask my mom. I know we did visit Messina back then. But I have heard it is beautiful.

It has rained all week long here and didn't even reach into the 70's at all. The say sunny and warmer days next week.   I sure hope so.
No plans for this week or next either :-(

Hope you do go camping and have a great time. Enjoy and I am loving your music here and of course you photos too.

Hey, I planted these flowers to my left just two days ago, hehehehe. Love all the changes around here girlie. You are keeping it sooo fresh and updated. Love it. Oh, and I even planted the flowers in your headers. I changed it up a bunch this year. With last years heat, I didn't want to take any chances with a lot of paritial shade flowers. Jean, This weekend coming up we will be doing things we need to finish on the house and some gardening! We ended up last week, Al took some time off of work, and re roofed our mother-in-law house for my brother, it was leaking around the two skylights, and had been for a while because it ruined some of the sheetrock in the kitchen ceiling and the bathroom! We had the roof finished in two days, his brother helped him, he is out of work, so that gave him some badly needed funds too! The sheetrock is done and just needs to be taped and mudded! Then the ceiling can be painted!
We did have a relaxing weekend on mothers day, we made it to the Meerkerk gardens on the island, after we spent sunday at a bed and breakfast in Laconner! It was my first time at a bed and breakfast, the food was superb! And the rooms were all done in antiques! The gardens were not completely done blooming yet, it has been so cold, but the Rhododendrons that were bloomed were gorgeous to walk through, and they had a lot of other plants too, some not bloomed yet, like the lillys! There were still a lot of tulips by Laconner, we stopped on our way there, and looked at them one last time for the year!
We stopped at the farm I took pics of in my book called Hidden Treasures, and it was Mothers day, so the farmers sisters were there as well as his mother who still lives there! I gave the book to them, and they loved it! They were surprised how some of their everyday junk that they don't notice much could be made into art thru photography! We stayed and visited with them for awhile! They were such a nice family, I am glad I gave them the book! They had me sign it to them and everything, it was fun!
I should get going, and not take up all your space, just wanted to tell you that you will have fun at the reenactment of the Civil war! I heard that some of them are quite good! I hope you have a blast! Not a cannon blast!!! LOL!! Let me know how it goes! Catch you later my friend, Deb xoxox

Jean, I got my canvases last night by UPS, and my Crater Lake book came at the same time in the mail! It was like Christmas! And a birthday present from Barbara Jean! A bunch of stuff for me....Yeah!!! The canvas that you said I should make came out beautifully! I love it, and my mountain one came out well too!  Thanks for coming by to visit.  Snow?   We had rain all day yesterday and did housework to catch up.   Today is sunny and bright and hope to head out after breakfast.   I have missed visiting the sites and all the goobers.   Please don't be angry that I haven't stopped by lately.   Rest assured I shall return soon.
I guess I'll have to check out your new book too in the gallery.   AR is getting close and was sorry to see the cowboys go home last week. :-(

I have had a dry spell with my camera.....I sure hope to shoot some new photos some time soon.   This is very unlike me.   Don't know what's up with that.

Jean, Just waiting on my canvas! I chose the pic you liked, and another one Alan liked of a mountain I have! I have 6 of them on my walls right now, and I love every one of them! I even sold 3 tulip ones last year for 300.00 apiece at my Drs. office! They were 16X20's, and she bought one, her daughter bought one, and a sales rep who came in bought the last! Thanks so much for stopping by my site! Hope you are feeling better! Sorry I have been MIA. Life is so crazy right now with our moves(3 moves in 3.5 weeks with Rob moving from the small Indiana apartment to the bigger family apartment, moving Joe into his 1st apartment in NY since he wants to continue to go to colllege and work here in NY, and then moving our family to IN finally.) I have been going on 36 hours stretches with like 2 hours of sleep and off running again. My body is so sore. I started moving Joe by myself since Rob was in Indiana and Joe was working and we are in a huge time crunch. Then Rob came home to help me and again Joe was working so he wasn't able to help much at all. I am such a weakling and to carry furniture up flights of strange stairs that swirve in a strange direction with little clearance was a huge challenge. Joe is loving his apartment. We still have some shoppping to do and just a little more stuff to move there. I can't believe my baby boy has his own apartment. I will be such a wreck when I leave him here in NY and I go to Indiana. Its something I don't want to even think about. I am missing Joe so much and he is right around the corner. I hung out with him for hours then he had to go to hockey. I picked Marina up later that night and said lets go see Joe and Marina was like, "Mom you just got back from seeing Joe. Do you really miss him that much?" Its a huge transition! Anyways, I will try to catch up as soon as things calm down. Hope you had a wonderful Easter! Happy Mothers Day! :)

I've heard they're beautiful! I ordered the wall mount ones, today, 8 of them! 10x14's, they're not the canvases though. I shot so tight on the face that I can get the canvases to work :( I sure hope they work out ok.

Easter was a fun weekend.... It started off with having Hannah for the day and since her Auntie Kay got her some squirt guns the afternoon just got better n better! Nicholi arrived safe and in pleanty of time to enjoy the evening with everyone at the house for spaghetti!! Saturday was a terrific day for a trip to a really nice spa for massages and the sauna! Sunday...Easter morning was a little cool, but church was terrific and then time to fix dinner for another house full! A good game of 'Imagine if' ...which Kay won! Amazing Race with my Sista there!! What a great weekend!

 Spent the day with my mom after mass and it was pretty nice out until early evening then it pured all night long.

 Today it may hit 80 and sunshine YAHOO ....I love it. Just wanted to say Hi and hope you had a wonderful weekend. The cruise is less than 5 months away. I can't wait.

Anyway I saw AR and too bad about the cowboys. That's the way things go.

Drove up to work to see all of the sound stage trucks, security etc....up and down the street. They were filming something.... They are at the building where Danny and Vanessa had their wedding reception at! :)

I am feeling loads better, taking my allegra every day, it has become my life line for dealing with the allergies. Everyone is back to normal or so I am hearing. Kimber, Rider, Jana, Ky and Nick were all down with a bug. Even though we were all sick we did manage the bluebonnets on Sunday, Ky was not cooporative at all, she had a fever and only wanted Pappy!

Jean, I love your new header! That was very creative! You seem to be a creative person anyway to me! Well at least you got your picture even if you did get yelled at!!!! LOL! I sometimes try to take barn pics, and the house is close by, and I always think someone will come out and yell at me so I hurry as fast as I can! I had Ethan over for the weekend last week, we took him shopping for his 9th birthday which was on Wednesday, so he could just pick out what he wanted! He got a bunch of Lego sets, and I thought good, these will take him a few trips over to do, and he had them almost all done the next day when his dad came to get him! He just wouldn't stop! I think I want to make a book of him putting them together! He has to wear glasses again for awhile for a lazy eye problem, so he was looking so studious! These were ones that were for ages 14 years even! I will have to go to the lego store on line and find a harder one for him! I hope he keeps it up, he might be an architect, and can take care of grandma when I get old! LOL!!! Anyhew, I just finished showing Seanor the Rodeo pics that you and Kay took in January. Wanna know what's funny? He could name some of the riders! Ha! Jean, I am finally getting settled back into a normal routine! I love your flowers at the top of your page! Mom is finally done with radiation, and she did well with it! My dad is not doing so well, his pain level is out the roof, and they can't give him more of his morphine, because then he doesn't know what he is doing! Between my brother and I we are going to take a day of the week and go and let mom get out to shop, and do whatever she wants for the day! She needs breaks!!!! I sometimes wish the Lord would just take my daddy home, but we know that he does these things in his own time! He is at least easy to take care of, he never complains, and thanks you for every little thing you do for him, he is so sweet!
I know you have new pics soon to see! I am glad you had a great time in Texas, that must have been fun! I am going to the tulip field today since I have a doctors appointment close by there, but it is a rainy day! But you never know, it might hold off while I am there! I think most of the daffodils will be out and the hyacinths, but not all the tulips! I plan to go each week since it is only about a 45 minute drive from here! I will be back soon to see your new pics, I am basically trying my best to get around to my members sites to say HI!, and hope all is well with everyone! My car was yellow dusted here this morning. I was a sneezing fool this morning. Right up until my car made the giant pop and then all the racket, hoping it's nothing major, easy fix for Randy, fingers crossed. The Jetta has been a great car! I don't like thinking something ugly is happening to her.
Things aren't as tense today at work as they were yesterday, but it has potential of being not so fun for a few more days, weeks....
My devastation is so think you could cut it with a knife :( I did hear from Randy as he drove to work this morning that he saw bluebonnets on the roadside on 635 in Dallas, it's looking promising!

Jean I hope that you're feeling even better! How's work going? Looking forward to all the SD and Photoshoot pictures, but I won't go as far as calling you a slacker................maybe tomorrow, LOL!!
Work has been something else lately, it's like someone turned up the gas and we're cooking now! I shouldn't complain, busy means more money.
Ky loved Rango, she clapped and cheered at the end. There is a snake, he's really real looking and mean. Ky did ok with it but I could see some kids getting scared of it. Johnny Depp comes thru loud and clear, he's very funny :) I would have loved being a fly on the wall while he was doing the voice over. We ate popcorn, Ky had her own sit between Randy and I, she held the popcorn and she didn't fidget too much til about 30 mins left in the movie. Afterward we went to the park, she played and played and ran and ran, I was tired just watching her!! Then she crashed, when she woke up she was one grouchy three year old.
I need to get busy finishing all the books I want to make, I haven't looked at that stuff in months :( So I opened it today and got my brain churning :)

How are you doing? Any plans for St. Patrick's Day?  

Joe's bday is March 18th. I can't believe he will be 19 years old in a few days. I wish Rob would be home to celebrate.

Rob was home briefly for 2.5 days and left last night. This visit we were hoping we could go out to dinner together as a family to celebrate Joe's bday but Joe was working. Rob and I were able to squeeze in a walk, watched a movie, & went to breakfast. Unfortunately, Joe didn't get to see Rob much at all since he worked almost the entire time. Marina also was busy with work, school, & plans with friends. We did get to have her go out to eat with us. I think we had 7.5 hours of family time in almost 7 months and the last time I think was in December! Can you believe that?!!!

Yea!!! the fog has lifted! Don't over do today, rest and enjoy the new non foggy day :) Uploading all those photos sounds like a good plan! I can't wait to see the results of the photoshoot, I know there are some great ones!! I'll bet the sneezing is a challenge, take some allegra or something, sneeze, ouch, sneeze, ouch doesn't sound fun at all!!
Texas is getting warmer during the days now, it won't be too long before we are in triple digit weather again, I so dread it! I love Texas in the spring though, it's truly beautiful! I was thinking about how we were just in knee deep snow recently too Jean, it was super cold on a couple of those stops! It was so picturesque though, beautiful there! What an amazing adventure! I had so much fun and still find myself laughing out loud thinking about our drive back to Albuquerque!

Picking up Kyleigh tonight and then we are thinking of taking her to her first movie Saturday :) Rango. Jean, I hope you had a fun weekend! I know you said you were going somewhere, I forgot! I have been trying to catch up in the gallery, and finish another book that I just put out yesterday! I have also been trying to get around to others sites, but it has been hard, I had a busy week home! Alan had his cataract removed Tuesday morning and a followup yesterday, but went to work today, which gives me a little more computer time! I think he doesn't like it when I am on it all evening after he gets home everyday, and I can't blame him! But it really does become an addiction! We had my grandson over last weekend, he built this big lego thing we bought him, that we thought would take him at least a couple 2 or 3 times over here, but he did it in a day! He loves them, and really goes to town and won't take any help! In fact I couldn't even put together the ones he does now!! LOL!!!! He will be turning 9 on the 6th of April, and I am torn about wanting to get him a camera, but he doesn't seem to be to interested in it! I wish he were!!! All of you guys that went on the train ride have the most beautiful photos of it! What fun you must have had, and a birthday too! I see your grand daughter is expected about the 16th! My son's birthday is the 15th of June! It's a good month! Well thanks for stopping by my site and checking on me, and I will be going to my mom's this Sunday, after church, for a week! I am not really looking forward to it, but what can a person do, you must help out your family! I just don't like being away from home, maybe if I had a laptop it would be better! It's the weekend, and I can't remember what happened since getting off the plane!! The only memories I have are of Albuquerque and Durango, and sometimes I still can hear and feel the rocking of the train!! Remember that great echo into that canyon the river was in, gosh that was sooo cool!!

Today has not been a good day, work wise, I am hopefully things will be ok at home! Tonight I picky up Ky, she's ready to see Gigi or so Meagan keeps texting me!!

I'm not sure how long it will take me to get all my pictures done and uploaded, 1469 of them, right now I am sorting and deleting. I did get more people photos than I have in the past, yea!!!

Jean, thanks for coming by. I have been sick with a cough, sneezing and running nose. I have no energy and went to the dr. we said take Vit C, rest and plenty of liquids. And now my girls caught my cold. It is miserable feeling ill.

How are you doing? Do you have any Valentine plans?

I was so excited this week to get a new vanity, faucet, & toilet installed in my bathroom this week! We have a super small bathroom but what a difference something like that makes! The kids were so excited! I wish we did it 14 years ago but we didn't know Lowe's or Home Depot do it for you and Rob was always afraid to mess with it since it was old. Then its like something always came up first with the house so that always got pushed to the bottom of the list! Its nothing fancy since it was an odd size and there weren't many to pick from. Then we are moving so we didn't want to invest tons of money that we will never get back. We have put so much $$$$ into this little house and I am pretty sure we will be losing like at least $35,000! Its depressing! Anyways, now its a million times better than before and we will be moving! Sigh....:(

We just got back from Dave and Busters and had so much fun! Talk to you soon! :)

Jean, Happy birthday to Hannah!!! I was expecting to be here on her birthday, but got home late from mom's! Stayed there on Sunday and Monday night, my brother is there now! Dad just cannot be trusted to not try to get up and walk himself, he forgets and thinks he can! He has been having a lot of Dementia symptoms lately, so needs to be checked!

So it is a girl, do they have any names picked out yet? She is due one day after my son's birthday! He will be 32! Time sure has been flying!
I loved the rodeo pic you had on shooting goobers, it was my favorite! The colors were so good together, and it was shot at just the perfect angle! It really showed the action from a great perspective!

I guess we're expecting whatever is going to hit here around 8 in the morning, I don't believe they actually know at this point, it was for later tonight. Sleet and snow but the temps will in the 30's, so I don't see it lasting very long.
I'm going to a baby shower this weekend, kinda looking forward to being around people I haven't seen in a while :) Ky is going with me, so I'll be tired afterward. Maybe get some fun pictures too.
Hope the weather stays nice for next Friday, need a safe plane ride to New Mexico :)

So the movie wasn't so great, bummer. I haven't been to a movie in so long, I use to go all the time but seriously I think it's been a year now. We have Kyleigh on the weekends so maybe later for her first movie or something.

We are expecting snow this weekend, snow and sleet on Wednesday. I have to say that after all the work it took to get work done, the early mornings calling everyone about not coming in or what time we hope to open, I am not looking forward to more of that!!

Heya Jean! I had to stop by and say hello and see what you are up to. I've been trying to make myself work on my Christmas album, but I keep getting distracted with life. Yes, we braved it out to go to the Kid Rock concert in the blizzard. What was I supposed to do??? They didn't cancel and those darn concert tickets are NOT cheap these days. Brandon did a great job of getting us there and home safely.

We just got a new garage door this week (Jordan plowed into the old one...) Sigh. Always craziness with teenagers.
