Let's stay positive until the final day!  We are enjoying these last few days of working and learning like 3rd graders!  Wow, your students are ready for their next journey. I am so proud of their progress.  It's been a pleasure!

Welcome to 2nd Grade!

I am thrilled to be starting this new year with you in my class.  With teamwork, hard work, and smiles, we are going to have a great year!  Check my website often for important information and homework notes!

I am beginning my 9th year at Evergreen Elementary and am looking forward to a great year.  I received my undergraduate at James Madison University in Business Administration (Computer Information Systems), my Masters in Business Administration from the University of Richmond, and my Teaching Certification and Licensure from the University of Richmond.  I also achieved my National Board Certification in Literacy:  Reading/Language Arts in 2009.  You might say I am a life long learner!  I am married and have three beautiful children: Savannah-16, Michael-15, and Allison-13.  I have a lot of help when choosing fun activities for the classroom!  My husband is Paul and we have been married now for 21 years.  When I leave school, I begin my second job-taxi cab driver/cheerleader for three sports fanatics!  My two oldest children are currently enjoying travel soccer at FC Richmond and James River High School, and my youngest one is cheering and tumbling for Cheer Challenge All-stars and Midlothian Middle School.  We love to do things as a family and enjoy our time together (including taking mission trips in the summer and returning to Holden Beach.)  I hope you will enjoy our class website and will visit it often.
