Life with the Riggs Family

Hidden away near Vanderbilt College in downtown Nashville is a great little park called Fanny Mae Dees park. Nicknamed "Dragon Park," this place is a perfect haven for a three-year-old! It has an amazing mosaic sculpture of a dragon done by children in the 70s as art therapy, and it has soft padding around it so kids can climb on it and run all around it. The park also has a great playground, other scattered play equipment, plenty of shade trees, green grass, and a huge rock wall with stairs, a tunnel, and a slide (something that would never, ever be built today due to liability)! Watching Brennan run and climb and explore on a cool, breezy May morning was probably the highlight of my week!
