We've Moved!!
So as you may know John and I moved to Ohio. It was not something that we just decided to do, John actually took a job transfer to be a claims adjuster and get out of sales, still with Progressive. So I quit my job and off we went. I am looking for a new job here in Mayfield Heights (just out side of Cleveland). On the way out here we stopped at Johns parents house in Tenn. They are doing well. We have plans of driving to Mich. a few times already before the end of the year. I am glad to be with-in driving distance of Marlette for a while, but I can't wait until we can retire back to the beautiful (and booming) Arizona area. I think people actually drive worse here in Ohio than they do in Phoenix!!! It's scary! Haha ;)
On a sad note, I had to put Scamper to sleep while we were in AZ. He was getting too sick in his old age (15) and I did what I had to do. I miss him :(
Well, take care!
John, Ashley & Kouper.
July 2009
Hello!
John and I have been busy, but it's slowing back down to "normal". We are in our new apartment. It's smaller and not as updated, but it's a lot less a month, so that is totally worth it. Our new address is:
1710 S. Gilbert Rd. (yes, Gilbert Rd.)
Mesa, AZ. 85204.
Write us!!
I went to Michigan for the 4th, sans John. It was very nice to see everyone, but he was missed a lot by me, and everyone in Michigan! I loved hanging out with Brandon. His face was priceless when he first saw me. I didn't get a lot of pictures, I was too busy chatting for that I think. It was pretty chilly for me there, I don't think it was higher than 75 the whole time.
We had a dog, for a week. haha. She was a mutt from the shelter. She was a great dog, but our new apartments wanted too much money for us to keep her. I told John it was a trial run for kids...you see how that went. HAHAa.
anyways, We are all home and settled into the new place. I hope everyone is great and had a wonderful 4th of July!!
That happenings of the Gilberts.
So, I have not updated in a while. John and I have a lot going on lately! I just got on the payroll at my new job. I now work for Dimension Auto Glass. I work in the office answering phone calls and doing conference calls to call in claims with customers for auto glass repair or replacement. It's about a block from our apartment. Speaking of which we are going to look at new apartments tomorrow. I think we have one picked out. It's A LOT less expensive than the one we are in now. So that is a perk. It's a little farther from work, but since it's only a block right not it doesn't take much to get a little farther. It's only a few miles difference anyway. No biggie.
John is getting geared up to start college in July. He is getting his Bachelors in Computer Information Systems. He hopes to get into someplace doing IT work. We shall see what this brings. I hope good things!!
We are hoping to come to Michigan for Thanksgiving. Also at that time we hope to be able to ship our stuff to AZ. I miss our "stuff"! :o)
Oh yea, I am also trying to get a puppy. Keep your fingers crossed!

Back Home
We are back from Tenn. It was a nice trip, good to get out and see family. I wish we could have gone up to MI, but we needed to spend time with John's parents. His dad is as good as can be expected with everything that is going on with him. Kori, Johns mom, is doing her best to take care of dad, the house, and everything else that comes with it. Great Job Kori!!!
Our kitties were more than excited to see us. They both were all over us for 2 days after we came home. Who says that animals don't miss humans!?!? Other than that we are back to the daily grind of things. I still need to get a better job, but I am no cross training at Kohls in other departments so that I can get more hours and be more "valuable" to the company. John just graduated from his training at Progressive on Tuesday (4/14). He no longer has "trainee" after his name now, haha. Congrats Hubby!!! John and I are both excited about summer. We are hoping that the Roberts' are going to come for a visit and maybe some other peeps from MI can come on out too. We are also hoping to get our stuff from MI sometime soon as well. Who knows!!
Love,
John and Ash.
Trip!
So today John and I booked our flights to TN. We will be there April 10th-13th, Easter weekend. We are going to visit with his parents and we are all very excited.
We also went to the Mesa flea market yesterday. That was cool. It is HUGE!!! We were there for about 3 hours and I don't think we saw it all. It is only going on for 2 more weekends, I guess it's a "snow bird" thing, so it's only open from Sept.-Apr. every year. That kinds sucks. There are a lot of a good deals there. I got a travel bag/over night bag, Brandon a T-Shirt and John got a new golf club. All in all it was a good day.
Well that's about it. Kouper still loves her kitty condo and Scamper loves the box from the humidifier we bought to try and control the static electricity in this place. John is still moving along at Progressive, waiting to get more states in his call list. I am still at Kohls and looking for a more stable and better paying job every day.
Oh yea, I wanted to tell everyone that I got 60 free prints for creating this page, adding pictures and adding members!! So if you are looking for free prints go ahead and join. I really like it.
Leave me comments!! I like to know if people actually read this. :o)

First Post
Hey everyone!
This is my first post on the Shutterfly website. If this place works and is fairly user friendly, I might not re-new my Flickr account and just use this. This website is free, so that is always a bonus! I can also use shutterfly to print my pictures, just like snapfish, so that is also a perk.
Anyways, Things are going well for us in Arizona. We miss everyone, so you should all come and visit us!!
Love,
The Gilberts ;)
