Welcome to the Brookfield Central Jr Lancer Boys Volleyball site!

The Junior Lancers provide boys in grades 5 through 8 (Fall of 2011) an opportunity to play select competitive volleyball and to develop them for a successful high school program.

This program is supported by Badger Region Volleyball and Center Court and is open to any boy who will be attending Brookfield Central High School.

The volleyball season will start in August and run through October. Practice will begin in August with tryouts preceding the first practice.

2011 Season Completed

The 2011 season has finished. Results can be found on the Center Court website www.centercourtwis.com.

More About the Club

Background
   In 2010 Badger Region Volleyball (a part of US Volleyball) partnered with Center Court to start the Wisconsin Youth Volleyball League (WYVL). The WYVL is for high school feeder teams and runs in conjunction with the high school season. The WYVL began with invitations for girls to play last year, and in 2011, extended the invitation to boys.
   Ken Nash, BCHS Head Coach for Boys Volleyball, is still looking for parent volunteers to help run the club. He has had a number of parents already step forward to offer their help, but needs more. And, since the girls program has been so successful, they have offered to advise/help the boys volunteers as needed.
   If you would like to take on a volunteer position with the boys club (whether a small or larger role), please contact Ed Fried at edfried@wi.rr.com.

Why Volleyball?
Dig! Hit! Attack! Block! Kill! Boys will LOVE this sport!! Volleyball is actually one of the most popular sports worldwide. It is probably one of the most fun sports to play, and has a fairly quick learning curve. The WYVL season is short (2-3 months) and does not conflict with club volleyball or basketball. Volleyball is an easy sport to combine with other sports in the same season.

Who Can Play?
Any boy, entering grades 5-8 in the fall of 2012, is invited to join the club. No experience necessary! Boys with club experience are encouraged to join, as the WYVL season does not conflict with the club season.
