The Junior Lancers provide girls in grades 5 through 8 (Fall of 2012) an opportunity to play select competitive volleyball and to develop them for a successful high school program.
This program is supported by Badger Region Volleyball and Center Court and is open to any girl who will be attending Brookfield Central High School.
The volleyball season will start in August and run through October (2012). Tryouts are in July, and practices begin in August.

We Need Volunteers!
As their daughters transition to high school, some of our Leadership Team Members are leaving the JLGVB Club, creating open positions. We are not looking for parents with volleyball skills so much as parents with leadership skills and a desire to help the club continue successfully. Our club leaders work as a team to make decisions, and the workload is shared to make it light.
If you would be interested in our Communications Coordinator position, direct your questions to our current Coordinator, Janice Johnson MikeandJanice@wi.rr.com . Janice would work with you this year so you could take over next year.
If you would be interested in learning more about our
Finance Director's work, and might be interested in working with Lynn to take over this position next year, please contact Lynn Rossman, our current Director.
lrossman@wi.rr.com
If you would be interested in leading our
Fund-raising efforts
this year, please contact Devonne O'Gorman at
jrlancergirlsvb@aol.com.
Have more questions? Please contact club president Devonne O'Gorman jrlancergirlsvb@aol.com
Note: Tryouts are mandatory for all athletes who wish to be on a JLGVB team.
Volleyball Camps
Some Things We Want You to Know
1. Our program is committee-run by a group of volunteers. Our funding comes from player fees. Though we are a feeder team for BCHS, we are an independent club, not for profit, and not supported by school funds or property taxes.
2. This program is for girls who plan to attend Brookfield Central High School. If your daughter does not plan to attend BCHS, this is not the club for you.
3. Skill levels range from girls who have played some club volleyball to girls who have never played at all. (Most 5th/6th graders have little/no experience. Most 7th/8th graders have some/club experience.) We want EVERYONE to participate! We will offer training to the newbies, and tough competition to those with experience.
4. Volleyball is a fun sport; our goal is for your daughter to have a great time at a competive level.
5. All of the forms/information you need can be found on this web site. Your first steps should be to read our Mission Statement, and contact jrlancergirlsvb@aol.com to get any questions answered. Then, if you are interested in trying out, fill out and return the Tryout Registration Form.
6. Please add jrlancergirlsvb@aol.com to your email contact list if you wish to receive email from the club. Otherwise your server might label it as Spam and bounce it.
