a classy way to display photos.

It has photos which are not displayed
here and has become my primary
photo sharing site.

So far, we've no takers. :-(

The Slide Show Feature

The slide show can be a little confusing.

First of all, to get there click on a photo thumbnail. That will take you to a regular page that displays photos at a reduced size. Use the arrows to cycle through the photos. That is also the place where you can comment on the photos.

If you want to see the slide show, click on the "Slideshow" link.

Once you get to the slide show, you will see various options.

For instance you can stop the auto show by first clicking the pause (||) button and then click the arrows (or the photo) to cycle through one slide at a time. There are also options for the slide show itself on the upper right. You can also hover near the bottom and pick a photo you want to see.

There is also a "full screen" option. When you are in full screen mode, hover your cursor above the photo for a moment to see the pause button.

Some of the photos have been reduced in size for uploading and to accommodate slower Internet connections. They may look better in the slide show if you reduce the size of the browser window.

I have another photo gallery named Evendozen.com hosted by SmugMug. Most of the photos there are not included here.

Welcome to John's Photos

Photo resizing

Most of the photos are resized to 1024x768 which seems to be a good compromise between viewing and up/download speed. I often use the free utility FastStone Photo Resizer because it is very quick and I don't notice image degradation, at least for onscreen viewing.
