Blessings from Above

Our angel being prayed over by our pastor, Pastor Tony Beck and lovely wife Sue give their blessings.

Our pediatrician said babies normally get back to their delivery weight about two weeks after being discharged.  Last week Marisah was 6lbs 13oz.  I didn't think she would be at the 7lbs 8oz mark, as that was her delivery weight.  I have to report that she wasn't that weight today.....she reached 7lbs 9oz!!!!  Both mom and dad released a sigh of relief when the doc said that. 

Marisah is feeding a lot.  During the day she mostly sleeps and eats.  At night however, she can be a little clingy and wide awake.  Hopefully she settles into a routine and lets mommy and daddy sleep a little more. 

Captains log, start date .....sorry, wrong blog.  Anyway, we survived the night by ourselves with the baby.  She's like a Swiss clock, every two hours she wakes up for food and/or changing.  We woke up, fed her, bathed her, exercised and since we can't attend church service just yet, watched Joel Olsteen on tv.  She's now taking a nap in her Rain Forest inspired cradle swing. 

 Well,

The baby is finally here!  She's doing great and mom and dad are hanging in there.  We're getting into a routine of feeding, pooping, feeding, and sleeping...and that's just the daddy!  We celebrated her one week birthday with a late night feeding.  Tonight will be the first night we'll be alone with her.  Tabitha's mom stayed with us since the baby arrived and she's been a great help.  Hopefully, we'll do ok by ourselves.  Anyway, we'll try to keep the site updated, so stay tuned!
